Which rules is Cael referring to?

You tell me.  But he’s clearly insinuating he follows and others don’t no?

Idc who it is or what sport.. coaches whining about people following/breaking rules in today's college landscape is a joke. Believing that any big college program is without sin when it comes to rules is naive. The one's claiming innocence only do so because they think whatever "loophole" they're using is cleaner than the one's other programs are using.

And at the end of the day, rules? What rules?

If nobody is enforcing them, rules are nothing more wishful thinking.

Cael's upset that OKST had a strong showing and that Jax Forrest was given the honor of being the final match of the night. He knows that recruits are watching this happen and that the hype and energy around Oklahoma State is only going to continue to grow a historic performance featuring 3 True Freshmen national champions.

Complaining about other programs after setting the scoring record is just another unlikable move from PSU.

He may not have technically violated any rules for it to happen, but saying this while you're paying Rocco Welsh to be your 184 is a bit high and mighty.

I think we all know what Cael is saying, but in case not..

Cael is saying that Penn State follows the rules.

Cael is saying that David Taylor and Oklahoma State are not following the rules (whatever these mythical rules are).

If any team in the country outside of OKST were breaking the rules right now, Cael wouldn't care. He would be laughing behind closed doors, because those programs would be cheating and still have no reasonable hope of dethroning PSU in the foreseeable future. However, OKST lands back to back monster recruiting classes in '25 and '26, and already has 3 national champions from their 2025 class. This has been Cael's worst nightmare from the moment David spoke to him about the OKST coaching job. He feels threatened and is taking jabs at OKST.

This is some next level pettiness and off the mat drama, and I am here for every second of it. This is the kind of juice and added storylines that is amazing for the sport. Bring it on!

My guess is he may be referring to what supposedly caused Bo Bassett to decommit from Iowa…Forrest being allowed to basically train full time at the RTC before he was enrolled and living outside of the radius.

A lot of attorneys would say nothing publicly, but file a complaint with an authorized oversight body. A lot of non-attorneys would say something publicly, but not file a complaint.

Brands also made a similar comment after the finals about Iowa operating within the boundaries of a set of rules. No idea why he and Carl are throwing that little detail in.

I believe that part of the reason Bassett decommitted from Iowa was because Brands wouldn't fly them out to train in Iowa for the freestyle season, which seemed to be some type of possible violation, while Oklahoma State was doing that for Jax.

I find it hilarious that so many in the wrestling community have this made up image in their minds of Cael being this giant supervillain. Like he’s Dr. Evil or something because all he does is win. The man is a slightly awkward true believer Mormon lol. Just a guy from Utah who ended up the best ever at his sport and now coaches it and figured out how to transfer over what made him great to his guys, he really isn’t much more then that.Hes just a wrestling guy ,talk to the guy for 10 minutes and you’ll see that. Penn State domination isn’t great for the sport but it’s doesn’t make him or the PSU guys villains ( except for maybe Davis).

The real villains of wrestling are scum ADs that drop programs, bad refs, reaction time , AJ Ferrari, Baylor Fernandes, the guy who does Flo rankings, Slumlord Bob, the weak a$$ kid who tried to get Joe Greenlee fired and big 10 network and espn when they delay the start of a dual bc a women’s college bball is dragging on.

If @Caveira was on the side of the road with a flat tire in the pouring rain Cael would be the first guy to pull over and help him change the tire but in his mind Cael is Vladimir Putin and is just out here stealing cookies from kids and Lat Dropping puppies.

Jax and ok state somehow got a waiver bc the forests rented an apartment in Stillwater and Bassets wanted the same kind of end around as Jax and Iowa compliance said no . If the brands and bassets just cooled their jets the rule changed shortly after and no waiver or rule breaking would’ve been needed but instead the bassets and brands yell it out and now Iowa has a weak 2026 class and the bassets are heading below the Mason Dixon Line.

Do you think that’s what Cael was referring to?

The guy who does Flo rankings definitely doesn’t deserve to be grouped with those others lol

I actually didn’t know who he was until February. Turns out he’s a NJ guy and his high school celebrated their 100th season of wrestling and honored a bunch of past greats before the dual and he was one of them and apparently a NJ state champ in the 1960s but outside of that and learning he’s the $$ man and that Rich Lorenzo also went to the same high school I know absolutely nothing about him
