  1. Past hour
  2. Ruiz has racked up some solid accolades this summer. A gold here from him certainly isn’t a shocker
  3. You guys might agree to a ceasefire?
  4. If you were correct, I would agree with you. But as you can see below, your simple little brain has failed you once again. It’s okay little fella, we’re kind of used to it around here…
  5. At least they're not stealing and raping and doing steroids!
  6. Jeez boss. You seem a little angrier or edgier than normal. It hardly matters. At the end of the day it ain’t no thang.
  7. I was shocked by it, too. With Hopke's lack of mat-time I want to chock it up to health reasons. I am not in the know, though.
  8. I don't think anyone is upset at Cornell for utilizing the FLWC. It's essentially a redshirt, which every other non-Ivy gets.
  9. Here's a link for group ticket discounts. if you run a club don't use that one, use this one which can get prizes.
  10. Spelled out for us would have been using the correct word. Bahahahhahahaha. You probably should start praying for yourself
  11. Ummmmmmmmmmm speaking of comprehension skills you might want to look up that word smart guy. B E T T O R is the one you were looking for.
  12. At the US Track & Field National Championships (World Team Trials), Cooper Lutkenhaus, a 16 year old sophomore finished 2nd in the men's 800m final, and will compete at the World Championships in Tokyo next month. He'll apparently be the youngest Team USA world teamer in history, and may be the most talented American middle distance runner since the great Jim Ryun 60 years ago. Incredibly, he ran a 1:42.27, knocking 3s off his own U18 and U20 World Record (set last month at the Texas state meet). He's now the third fastest American ever, and only 1.4s off the world record (David Rudisha - Kenya - 1:40.9, set in the 2012 Olympic final). Mind, a few months ago, his personal best was a 1:47.x. Blisteringly fast for a high schooler, for sure, especially one who only started running competitively in 7th grade, but not world class. 1:42.27 would have won every World Championship final to date, as well as every Olympic final until last year. As an aside, he even managed to make Donovan Brazier's incredible comeback victory a sidestory. Brazier, the 2019 World Champion and one-time American record holder, only returned to racing in June, after injuring his achilles tendon at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Trials. Injured until earlier this year, he was widely believed to be essentially retired until suddenly returning this summer.
  13. Today
  14. I leave a healthy amount of skepticism for things that don't have proof but the circumstantial evidence around Trump just really doesn't look good... When you take into account things like Virginia Guiffre working at his spa and then the story above about providing several young masseuse' for Andrew just fits together and allows you to use common sense vs outlandish 10D chase moves to see how closely Trump is tied to this. He honestly doesn't have to be guilty of child sex abuse at this point but he is very clearly linked closely with Epstein, Maxwell and Andrew. I would bet Bill Clinton is also in deep too but it doesn't change the fact that they're all guilty to some extent of aiding and abetting this repulsive and unforgivable scandal.
  15. It was not a complete across-the-board year, it was a fifth year granted to former JUCO athletes who have currently not used up their 5 year clock. So if they previously redshirted, they were not granted the fifth year.
  16. I feel like there is a lot of truth to the subreddit "the right can't meme" All of their memes are just sexual jokes disparaging women... like we get it, you hate women in power or aspiring to be anything more than a maid and cook that doesn't leave the house. Comedy is comedy no matter what and I'll give a laugh regardless of who is the target as long as it's funny and the right just really struggles with it. I feel like that makes sense given personality traits of those with right viewpoints vs those on the left.
  17. The rule in question would be the “5 in 4 rule,” that once you enroll, you have 5 years to complete 4 years of eligibility (with exceptions for medical and Olympic redshirts). Other than medical/Olympic redshirts and the 2021 season, has an Ivy/Cornell guy ever unenrolled for more than 1 year after the initial grayshirt year?
  18. Necessity is the Mother of Invention. —Plato The Big Red, smarter than the average Bear..
  19. He was going to be ineligible to wrestle in the Fall anyway.
  20. was a bit shocked to see Dreshaun tech Hopke. Dreshauns ceiling seems insane however I am not sure he is completely all in on wrestling yet, and his shoulder injury history concerns me a bit.
  21. There is no current loophole. Due to the Pavia case, the NCAA granted JUCOs an extra year across the Board to stay consistent with that case. It should be decided this Fall. As the parent of a D1 athlete, we had the JUCO discussions with a few schools and they were all in agreement that they were NOT expected any further extra years of eligibility for JUCO athletes.
  22. But weren't the Cornell guys starting at Juco? Arnold started at Iowa and is taking a year off at Juco then going back to Iowa.
  23. Anyone see the match between Hodkins and Riza from Turkey? Dirty wrestler, about took Hodkins eye out. Mutiple eye pokes earlier in the match too.
  24. Well, not sure if it was first match jitters, or what - but Hamiti lost 10-0 to the same guy that Simon Ruiz beat 7-6. That said, Mykhailov is a former Worlds Bronze medalist at 79 KG and was very competitive with medalists at 86 KG while trying to qualify at 86 KG - so perhaps that isn't such a bad loss (and maybe the Ruiz loss was bad for Mykhailov). Especially since Mykhailov beat Zahid Valencia 8-6 at the 2023 Moustafa ranking series event. I still want to see Hamiti at 86 KG and on the DT regimen for growth in to 86 KG. He has the frame for it. I also want to see Shapiro at 74 KG because he just looks too big for 65 KG at this point. Duke could add a little more and fill out to 74 KG and immediately impact our ladder - especially being in the same room as Monster Mitch, Haines, etc. I think Ross, with some size, could be terrifying... if he can beat Mirasola. I think a lot of folks are sleeping on Hopke. I think he's going to be one of our main contenders at 125 KG for 2028. He has kind of been on the back-burner since he committed and has taken some losses, but he is still in what is probably the best HWT room in the country (still).
  25. Meh, are many people still really paying attention to her? If we’re speculating, I’d still tend to believe Beau. But Syd tying Beau’s accusations in with rape allegations, could be why other wrestlers didn’t want to speak out, since they’d have no way of knowing if those more serious allegations are true outside of an admission.
  26. Geez, even when it’s spelled out for you, comprehending is still a major obstacle. Maybe you’re just a lost cause. I might have to add you to my prayers with Jimmy.
  27. So you're saying that Pyle was correct?
