I was at the 2006 CMSU Open … primarily to watch a wrestler that I coached in HS. I remember watching the Askren Semi vs James. I am sure I watched his earlier matches also (being a Mizzou fan) … but couldn’t tell you who the opponents were. Lol. I do remember Oklahoma St. & Iowa always sending a few wrestlers there.

I have no problem with execution for murder. I would rather have the person convicted to actually be guilty. I am uneasy putting an innocent person to death. So If it is 100% clear on guilt, no problem. Unfortunately , there have been convictions that were later overturned. That is sad in itself and good that they weren't executed. So I think I am on the fence in this debate. Very good debate though. mspart

We went to DC recently. That was good. First day was the Holocaust museum. It traces the history fro WWI, to Weimar, to Hitler, to the final solution. Very sobering. After 3-4 hours of that, we went to the Black History Museum just down the road. We were hungry so we went to their cafeteria. Best food of all time!!! It was great. A bit spendy, but really fantastic fried chicken, cornbread, sweet potato, pecan pie etc. I highly recommend it. The museum itself was also a sobering story of how black africans were enslaved and brought over to the Americas and were very ill treated. Highly recomenned both of these as well as the Air and Space Museum at the Mall and the Udvar-Hazy at Dulles. Hoping to make it to Italy again in the next year or so. 3-4 weeks this time, maybe visit another country or two. mspart

In college, I believe there's an ongoing lawsuit between BLAF and the University of Florida football player, whose name slips my mind atm, who signed away a 15% cut of his pretax pro football earnings, including signing and incentive bonuses, for the next 25 years. He plays for the Chicago Bears now. Anyway, he sued BLAF because he didn't have any support or representation and just saw the upfront $$$ and signed without fulling realizing what he was getting himself into. Nilly is another agency that gives college athletes money upfront but I think they take a % of players' total promotion & sponsorship deals (rather than pro salary) for a fixed period of time.
