  2. Is he not technically in the portal anymore?
  3. Hopefully whoever told Sammy Alvarez he could get another year isn’t giving Gabe any advice about this
  4. Its like people believe that a convicted felon, racist, and shady businessman who has cheated on all of his spouses and doesn't release his taxes is somehow telling the truth.
  5. Today
  6. from what it sounds like he was working out there and was likely to end up there, but as of now, he is not officially enrolled
  7. A few will likely grow but I don't see any getting bigger than 174, so likely just growing from one crowded weight into another crowded weight.
  8. I don't think guys leaving will ultimately effect OSU much. They will each likely give it 2 or 3 years of attempting to make the starting line-up and transfer for their last year or two of eligibility if that's what they want to do. The guys on the roster will still have plenty of training partners on the college roster and with the cowboy RTC to where training shouldn't take a hit. OKST will massively benefit from all of these guys knowing that their spot isn't guaranteed and knowing they can't take a day, or a match off.
  9. not as good as the samuel L black snake moan gif but right up there.
  10. There's probably some growing boys in that group though don't ya think?
  11. Guerrero has the bloodline though.
  12. Yesterday
  13. Pan am's at the age level has largely turned into US vs other US guys that are representing Brazil or PR so often times they are matches that have occurred multiple times already in folkstyle.
  14. the kid from ukraine I believe is a 2 or 3 time euro finalist and now a 2 time u17 medalist probably one of the best guys there. Iran has a shot at 71 James is one of americas best guys for sure but the Tajikistan guy was really really good that iran beat.
  15. I think the way Americans train in folkstyle gives them an edge that carries over into freestyle. Folkstyle just has way more constant engagement - there’s way less downtime where you can just stand around and wait or handfight endlessly. So they grow up learning to wrestle non-stop, and that kind of pace wears our guys out. Also, this whole “one coach makes all the calls for every weight” approach is outdated - especially at the senior level. They’re spending millions, so clearly there’s money. Why not bring in specialized coaches for each weight?
  16. I didn't know that Japan and Russia did that but it makes sense since I saw that their teams were different to what they had at the continental tournaments. I don't think its a bad idea if we do the same but I think at this age level getting these kids to wrestle is the most important thing. I would much rather our guys lose now then at senior level. An olympic/world medal is worth 1000s of these junior golds. I think it would be better if we sent guys to the u15 asians and u23 asians than anything else. I reckon send like the second string guys to u23 asians so they can also wrestle even if japan and some of the other countries don't send guys there.
  17. I'm surprised you're able to not suffocate by forgetting to breathe.
  18. Japan sends the trial runner up to asians, you will see they have a totally different team between worlds and asians. They do the same for juniors also. I think it's a good way to let more guys get international experience. Russia also sends their trials runner up to euros. USA is wrestling pan ams which is a terrible continent for wrestling.
  19. So I guess I missed this or forgot but whatever happened to Chittum? Did he ever end up at Chattanooga?
  20. I feel like since our u17 guys couldn't compete at Asians they are a little disadvantaged compared to everyone else. I reckon that's the big differentiator this year as this is their first international competition of the year. In saying that though we sent 5 guys to the finals and have potential to win 7 medals with 3 gold. It's also good because we sent our 45 and 48kg to the finals and that's where we are really lacking in talent and depth. At the end of the day all that matters is we develop guys for the senior team. The US historically has not been always dominant in junior level but always produces top talent when it comes to seniors.
  21. ... that's it. That's all I got. D3
  22. Why did the ice agent have to take Xanax? Because of Hispanic attacks. I'll be here all weekend.
  23. Damn it! That's the spirit, HL3... ... and for THAT, I'm giving you an extra crispy baked potato (w/ sour cream, as well!) D3
  24. Actually I forgot the 92 guy. He should win. Ukraines 80kg must be a national war hero. He beat Iran and Russia for gold.
  25. You’re condoning one. While denigrating another. May as well say it. It’s what you mean. Or. You can acknowledge just a few short months ago the other team was doing similar shyte
