  2. If either story is true, then both are blameles; but, I doubt that either one made a blameless mistake. In any event, both have the responsibility for atoning. . . blameless or not.
  3. depends what your (personal) values are. do you think it's fine to just throw bags of cash? or do you think monetary offers should be tied to reality? not saying there's a right answer. but there's certainly a right answer based on what's best for DI wrestling.
  4. Hey Chrome, I like this post of yours. It makes sense to me. Well said. Regarding my DT comment, I was wondering if he would be getting caught up in all that Starocci stuff, not knowing they didn't like each other. If DT knew about all these shenanigans (if they are true) and kept quiet, then you have to wonder what he will do at OSU. That was my thought anyway. I was thinking there could be direct link made. I know it is different for athletes and coaches, but he was an athlete that went straight to head coach. So I wondered. mspart
  5. I hope he becomes mayor. The mass exodus of people with money will only become a bigger deal. They’ll replace them with people that need to be funded. A recipe for disaster and I’ll be enjoying it while eating popcorn. New Yorkers deserve it.
  6. Well said Brucey. mspart
  7. I agree with you on this specific technology. And on red light cameras/speed cameras. The other is the collecting of "metadata" from communications companies. So, on principles of privacy and curtailing the surveillance state I agree with you. I do think we need to apply the 4th amendment much more broadly to encompass a concept of "secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects" that takes into account indirect but still unreasonable searches like mass surveillance and tracking.
  8. Hoping Ben and Amy get this all straightened out. If people are really this invested, they should give to the go fund me account for him. mspart
  9. Everyone has their faults. But it does seem incongruous to repeatedly invoke your attachment to Christianity and not really adhere to its basic fundamentals. But we all struggle to live as we know we should live. Hopefully they will get this figured out. mspart
  10. Really? You'd know how to go about getting a 3rd party arbiter and the medical experts necessary? Because in this case MOST people would need the Hopsital to help facilitate that or a lawyer, but sure, only a moron wouldn't know how to deal with the health insurance company denying without knowing why. But fine. Any moron would know. Then WTF is your point with this stupid slack jawed "err....they deny legitimate claims all the time," after that's been...abundantly clear and mentioned several times in this thread? I'm not sensitive, I'm tired of stupid posts. Go fight the power Luigi, I don't care. I'm asking why in THIS case they'd deny it as you can call them a lot of things, they're not stupid and they KNOW there is going to be massive backlash if they deny a lung transplant to an Olympian for an illigitimate reason. It also seems to be upsetting everyone BUT Amy and the actual people involved, so maybe in your infinite wisdom on the insurance process you could explain why they denied and how exactly that worked?
  11. Their reasoning is HEARTFUL. Law abiding citizens (especially law abiding ones) be damned!!
  12. Remember, these are the heartful people. Quality of life, down. Heartful. Costs up. Heartful. Using data designed to catch criminals to catch criminals - heartless. Denver will ban using fingerprints and DNA evidence soon because some criminal might be caught.
  13. Which matches were driven to the forest in SUVs!!! Duh. Man made global warming at work right there, dude.
  14. The best thing that can be done for any kid is to get them thru puberty as they are.
  15. lol no there’s not. But a Republican congressman in Tennessee who lied about his own entire background is trying to get him deported
  16. Half serious question. Half joke. is it worse than drinking your dads accidental steroids bottle on the fridge ? Ha
  17. To be fair, I don’t think Starocci was all that “loud” about it. But yeah, Snyder and Brooks were pretty much the loudest of anyone.
  18. Good. Canada needs a good lesson
  19. The casuals don't care if the wrestling is technical and at the highest level. They want to see 60 year old Tyson box Jake Paul I'd be OK with 90 percent legit real freestyle and a weekly old timer like a metcalf etc matchup or non wrestling guys with names to drum up fan excitement All these big celebrity boxing matches suck, because it's easy to tie up and negate action. In wrestling it's not easy to negate action for amateurs. You will get flurries , albeit not the technical wrestling, it would be more exciting in some respects. I'd much rather see a celebrity wrestling match that is not wwe then a boxing match.
  20. Another Hat Tip to The Babylon Bee: https://babylonbee.com/news/7-changes-mamdani-is-proposing-for-new-york-city Authorizing the development of state-run shoplifting centers: This is the clever outside-the-box thinking people need from their elected leaders. And, not satire: from the Mam himself: Does this mean that his 9x increase in hate crime prevention will be thwarted by his own policy of repealing bump-up statutes - which "hate crime enhancement" (asinine term!) is?
  21. Aaron Brooks is either definitely a cheater or he's the dumbest person on the planet. Probably both. The amount of compliance training and dieticians they go through in college athletics telling them to know what they're putting in their bodies just for him to say he bought something tainted from a grocery store. What a complete moron. And Basch's response is a joke. I'm surprised he didn't make one of his intro to graphic design class graphics about it. Fkn goober.
  22. Basch might be overdosing on the PSU Kool Aid
  23. J Rob got run out for less than this. mspart
  24. Since I know it will come up in this thread his position on Israel is that it has a right to exist as a state with equal rights. Should be pretty non-controversial, but have fun arguing against it.
  25. Nobody should get a 5th season in college sports. You get four. Is there a new grade level in college I am unaware of? freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, and then what? There is no other "then what". There are 4 years of eligibility. Starocci should not have been allowed to compete last year in my humble opinion. You guys can't make me believe it should be otherwise. You can criticize me for my position but you can't make me believe that for a very short period of time, people deserved a 5th year when no one else does outside of that time frame. It's a ridiculous concept. mspart
