So you weren’t a defender of her ? What’s your point ?

I am not surprised you missed the point. -
Helen looked super impressive at Worlds with no signs of slowing down. I think she has 5 gold's now while Burroughs I believe has 7. Does Helen end up getting more gold's than Burroughs and become the GOAT?
-
Were you a staunch Gina Carano defender when they fired her?

1. I would bet my bottom dollar Pyles first got permission from Camp Snyder and USA Wrestling before lobbing that softball question. 2. Snyder literally used nothing but the easiest, generic Christian cliches and wrestling cliches for the entire interview. He said nothing. In the end, I guess that is fine. Maybe that is who he really is, and his life really none of our business. To each their own...

@jchapman any insight as to why Amos didn't go for a team spot this year?

No kidding. Ice ice baby. They’re coming for your family. Should have done it the proper legal way. -

In the case of Jimmy Kimmel the fcc really doesn’t need to get involved. A couple owners of a number of abc stations told Disney it’s done carrying Kimmel. Free market has spoken. -

Oh and I don’t think it was weaponization of the FCC but a bunch of ABC franchise holders. -
Yes!! I m predicting the habitual lies will bring them down next.

Post-Worlds Way Too Early Olympic Lineup Predictions

Valencia feels the most freestyle savvy to me right now of all those guys which is kinda why I give him the worst chance in 2028. Feel like the other guys can make tactical improvements that he is already very proficient in. 2028 sleepers imo -Meyer 74kg (he needs to grow and stay healthy two things that I am not entirely sure are possible still think hes one of if not the most talented guys we have domestically) - Ross 125kg (as I mentioned above he weighs like 225 right now if he can put on good size to get to 250 I think he can be as physically imposing as masoumi while also having serious leg attacks) could still be too green and immature in 2028 though he will be 21 -KOT 86kg, I kinda like the idea of hoss keegan more than skinny sucked out Keegan. I think the way he wrestles is going to be tiring and really hard for bigger guys to deal with. He deflects pressure really well and can get to legs or around guys without going under them a lot of times which I think will mitigate the strength issues a bit but he could just be too small still. -Brandon Cannon (This is probably a huge reach but this kid keeps getting so much better year to year and is still growing. He is probably just MM lite crazy pace good attacks but probably just not as good at any of those things. If he can tighten up the defense like mitchell has and continue to pressure the way he does though I think he is a nightmare for anyone ( I believe he is still only 20) -Alex Facundo 74kg (He has always been better at free beat levi 6-0 and lost to Jordan 5-3 at trails did also lose to Berger 5-5 on the backside. He looked really good in the china stillwater dual still want to see how he looks with the new regime but I am optimistic it has been a good change for him.) - Aedon sinclair 86kg (He probably has the best hips I have ever seen besides Cenzo and Dake and he is not nearly as physically mature as those guys yet. On top of that he has an excellent chest wrap and crotch lift. I think a mature and improved Sinclair is a serious problem come 2028 think about how close he was to keeping Max off the team and what max did at u20's) -

That was a while ago, but didn’t they back off from any further suggestion and let the Mattress Guy take the fall? -
Schultz has about the worst draw you can get. The on paper second best guy (Semenov) in the first round, and then the heavy favorite to win gold waiting in the quarters. Semenov is not a disciplined wrestlers, so he does on occasion foam one in and show up way out of shape and overweight. Maybe that can help. Too many wreslters in the field that are a level above whatever the US brings at 97 and 87 kg for any real chance. At 77, yes Nao but no Akzhol. So that's a major absence that weakens the field, possibly the most talented rep in the potential field is out. Bey has tough match to start against Amoyan. Bey is good but he'll most likely need to win 2 or 3 coin flip matches just to medal. At 60, I don't recognize these names besides Victor. Fumita and Emelin are not in the field. I don't see a Cuban entry either. Yay Emelin is back on the world stage, with one of the most technical and aesthetically pleasing styles of wrestling.

Interesting times. Colbert, Acosta, Reid, Lemon, Cuomo, Kimmel… who’s next? The View?

Mike Poeta is a guy who was one of my favorites. He had Burroughs and another brutal matchup, but he was such an explosive Wrestler, I was a fan. Started out up at 165 because of the Tirapelle's at Illinios, then goes 3, 2, 2 with losses to Leen, Burroughs in the finals and I think one of the Paulson's in the Semi's. I didn't read all 6 pages, but he doesn't seem like he's remembered like he should be.

I am surprised you all are not complaining about the weaponization of the FCC. Ha, just kidding. I am not surprised at all. Now compare and contrast to Fox making up from whole cloth the store about the Dominion voting machines. Did the FCC threaten to pull Fox's license? No, it did not. -
So was the Starocci thing a fluke...???
scourge165 replied to The_KC_Godfather's topic in College Wrestling
Yup. That's... a very accurate quote. I definitely said, "narcotics are cool." -
Yeah... I didn't "compare" them, but I DID take a guy who was a 4X NCAA Champ and who is actually coaching and suggest him rather than a guy people speculate MIGHT choose to coach in the future.

Thanks. Sad that some go so low as to even troll something like this.

You're probably not wrong that he's in the mix. Especially with him already in final X next year. But while 65 was very tough, I'm not sure Woods beat anybody close to Forest's win over Suda. Woods wrestled one guy listed in FLO's pre tournament top 10, and it was a quick TF loss. I don't say this to dismiss his performance, but more to dispute you using weight class strength as an argument. 65 is tougher but Forest wrestled harder opponents.
