  1. Past hour
  2. I read an opinion piece in The Hill website. This guy said that Padilla identifies himself and then asked his question and got tackled for it. That is not what the video showed. The video shows him approaching the secretary yelling something (presumably questions) and then gets man handled and is refusing to go with security so there is a struggle and then he identifies himself as Padilla. 1. You don't go to a press conference and approach the speaker. 2. You don't interrupt the speaker while they are in the middle of their statement. 3. Even if you are a sitting US Senator. 4. What happened to him would have happened to anyone doing the same thing. mspart
  3. I said this on one of the other 500 threads pertaining to deportations. The left will fight every single little detail regarding Trump deportations as they don’t like him or deportations in general. They legitimately just want all the illegals to stay. The complaint will change 50,000 more times between now and when Trump leaves office.
  4. Well sure maybe but I bet if you told him that to his face he could still rip you arm off.
  5. So UB, you are 0 for 3 definitely, and 0-6 most likely based on probably SCOTUS decisions. Historically, district courts can only deal with the case before them, applying only to their district. Yet there have been a huge number of district court injunctions against the Trump admin that go outside their district. So that is a Constitutional question that should be dealt with. mspart
  6. What’s he crying about. He was wrong. The good good crying starts around 6:45 mark.
  7. They won because of their depth. I believe the final number was 20 players scoring goals in the playoffs, but where the depth really comes in is mostly outside of the stat lines. They won because their third and fourth lines were significantly better than any other team, there was absolutely zero drop off in the smothering game they play from the top line down to the fourth. Edmonton has the best player on the planet with McDavid, and the one-two punch with Draisaitl is as good as it gets. Edmonton evolved their team from last years runner up finish to try and match Florida depth, and they did a good job of it. But Florida's was still too much. Up and down the bench they just simply wear you down.
  8. I bet they have ID. You probably have to ask them. Have you ever seen FBI on a stake out? Do you think they have FBI plastered all over their clothing and vehicles? But if asked they will show ID.
  9. The fact Jim says he had no idea this happened and that it was a political hit job by the democrats is absolutely abhorrent.
  10. I think he is talking about Biden because Biden repeatedly ignored court orders and the Constitution.
  11. Okie State is super packed in that area but seems like they are just loading up guys so who knows really...Hard to say, but I could see either Okie State or ASU happening and not be shocked.
  12. Agreed and thank you. mspart
  13. I think they should be in uniform, without names on the uniform, but identified as ICE etc. Masks are ok to keep from creeps identifying them so they and their families are as safe from nefarious goons as possible. If, and I mean if, this is really happening, then there is no doubt someone will get shot for their own protection. By if, I mean I have not heard of this, but am not ruling it out as the law enforcement is trying to stay safe. mspart
  14. JRoss- I appreciate your ability to keep receipts (albeit clipped without the context of any of the inciting posts that preceded them) but I can admit that was probably not my best day and was most likely exasperated by the conversation and tone of the other posters such as yourself which I'm sure you can relate to. That being said, my post here is not intended to relitigate the past or steer down a road that could cause any arguments and truly take a timeout. I'm not sure we need anything as fancy as AI combing our comments but rather just learning to respect one another as individuals as a product of experiences (or lack thereof) that have shaped us. I think at a basic level this can partially be achieved by learning about each other as people vs seeing a screen name and avatar. However small it is, I'd like to put a dent in the attitude of viewing each side as 'the other.' can you tell me a little about yourself? Anything you wish to share? I'm sure we have commonalities outside of the sport of wrestling.
  15. Well it didn't work for the Focus. Actually we don't know but what it kept him from doing something but it didn't prevent him from doing what he did to get kicked out.
  16. I found when all the kids know that we might not play at the end of practice and they saw someone goofing off they tend to police themselves. They were Learning about taking responsibility. They were Learning about there are consequences for bad behavior. I really don't understand their love for the game but they would play it for hours if I let them. When i saw someone goofing off I just had to mention the game (sharks ). Note: The entire team would get penalized for one of their teammates goofing off during practice. So, they self-policed themselves.
  17. 1) Yes, I have sympathy. Doxxing is wrong. No non-publicly available information should be revealed about those officers. 2) I suggest they do so according to the well-established norms of policing in this country, which means clearly identifiable uniforms, badge numbers, and faces. They should have to abide by court orders and habeas corpus rights. They should only be using force as an absolute last resort. People have been deported from this country for decades and decades. Trump still hasn't deported as many people as Barack Obama. Do you think it's possible that one reason there is such strong resistance to ICE right now is because they are behaving like an American Gestapo? This stuff scares people. We grow up learning about the evils of the SS and KGB. It's not surprising most of the public really dislikes the practices of an agency that, at the very least aesthetically, looks like those evils.
  18. I really appreciate your post and story, and very sorry to hear about your wife. I can't imagine going through that especially at that point in life. 100% agree with the approach of being grateful vs anger, definitely can be hard sometimes but it's the way to go and doesn't rob you of happiness/positivity.
  19. Love to see it. Glad there is all of the lighter weights, they are far more exciting.
  20. Glad I don't have HBO Max.
  21. Funny you say that, we've played our fair share of sharks and minnows haha. I do like the idea of using it as a tool vs them assuming we will play a game regardless of the listening skills, I will definitely try that. Tough part is when you have one kid not listening and he's got a partner it immediately means you now have two guys not paying attention and then if you have one guy in another group doing the same that balloons to 4 wrestlers and so on... hopefully I find a way to crack the code all practice. I was actually thinking about reaching out to AWA for some ways they work to developed the love of the sport early on as that is more of the mindset I have going into this. I want kids to have a good experience and for them to learn to really like the sport.
  22. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/6-times-trump-administration-clashed-opponents-court-orders/story?id=120846599 6 in here: 1) Deported 100 alleged gang members using Alien Enemies Act. Judge ordered the deportations be stopped. Order came when flight was still in the air. Trump admin first rushed the flight to try to beat the court order, then refused to turn the flight around once the order had been issued. 2) Kilmar Abrego Garcia - illegally deported despite court order (which Trump admin acknowledged) then declined to secure his release and return against the orders of the supreme court 3) Continuing to deport immigrants to third country not of their origin (El Salvador) after Judge issued a restraining order banning this practice until they had their due process right to raise concerns 4) Freezing federal funds and not dispersing to states despite clear court orders to do so 5) Blocking FEMA grants against direct court orders 6) Freezing foreign aid against direct court order
  23. Bosco + monster garage! I wonder if he has much affiliation with Zahid if he may try and recruit him to Okst. That kids neutral game is unfreaking real.
  24. I honestly can't believe they won again. It certainly appeared on paper that the Oilers had the more star studded roster but sometimes that just doesn't matter.
  25. Do you have any sympathy when the left “cancels” officers by finding their pii info and publishing it online? How do you suggest deportations take place when the locals riot and try to prevent it. Or cities flagrantly do not intend and often interfere with enforcement of federal law.
