I assume if there is scholarship money available they can, and they can definitely get NIL. -

I think that is the loophole @Idaho referenced above. -
Does a kid actually have to enter the portal to move schools? According to Damien Hahn the Iowa kids just showed up in his office asking to join the team and we’re never in the portal.

Not sure what that has to do with your inner hatred. The stress of carrying it will get you without you even knowing. -
There would need to be a change to how scholarships are typically funded. Schools do not like to rely on year to year funding as it is uncertain, making it impossible to do any long term planning. So they typically require the scholarship to be endowed. Depending on the assumptions the school makes about investment returns they may require a 20:1 (or more) ratio. So twenty scholarships at $50k each, or $1 million, would require an upfront, one-time contribution of at least $20 million.

The second chart is interesting. Two takeaways from that at a glance: 1) The old PAC schools were underrated, historically speaking. Presumably due to lack of competition and rankers not respecting their schedules. Kind of doubt that will still be the case moving forward. and 2) Big 10 guys in the middle tier of their respective weight classes tend to outperform seeds. I think people are generally aware of this--a Big 10 wrestler with a ~.500 record can still be quite dangerous at NCAAs, but will probably be seeded in the 20's. Interesting to see some data backing it up. -

I want to see Mesenbrink against an adult male chimp, mono a mono, scratch weight. If it's jungle rules, surely the chimp wins, by using its treacherous tactics. However, if you make face ripping, eye gouging, and genital biting all illegal it might be a good match.

The DOJ didn't really have a choice. I mean they could have lied, but I don't know if they want to do that and get sued.
