Children are more vulnerable to malnutrition because their bodies are growing and require key nutrients. It takes a lot longer for an adult woman to starve than a toddler. Adult women also have higher natural fat stores and are smaller than men, which is why men starve faster than women.

I really hope Flynn can put it all together this year. He's got so much potential, and many of his losses seemed to be mental lapses at the end of rounds/matches. Definitely rooting for him.

This mirrors my thoughts exactly. People forget how awful we were internationally when Burroughs came around. The prior year, we came away with zero medals at worlds. No one was staying for more than a single Olympic cycle. Jordan's success, blended with his longevity, really paved the way for one of our strongest freestyles era ever, with the guys you mentioned plus a couple others. But as much as I enjoyed it, it was hard to miss the lack of depth... the fact that apart from 5-6 guys, there was no "next man up" who was going to be able to replicate that success. But I agree we're now, belatedly, advancing that next wave. And, while we may not have half-dozen future 3-4x world champs, we have depth. There's at least 2-3 guys at every weight where you can say, "Yeah I can totally see that guy medaling at Sr. worlds," and that's a new development for the US.

Agreed he is a beast...watching him I was like man, he must have bones like birds do to make the weight based on how he looks.

Do you agree with government sponsored and mandated censorship of Twitter or Facebook for political reasons to help your party stay in power and win elections? -

To someone’s point. How is the kid sooooo malnourished they look like they will die tomorrow and the adult is perfectly sized fat and healthy. Not fat fat but fat compared to someone malnourished. For that to be real the parent had to eat all of the food and give the kid 0 for a prolonged period of time. So either the parent is the devil or the pic is propaganda.

Will the Penn State 25-26 and 26-27 teams be the BEST ever?
Gus replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
I have no real gripes with any of your assessment. I fully expect Mesenbrink & Levi Haines to win. I think LL and Barr are clear favorites. 125 is deep (Robinson, Sprately, Volk, Ventresca, Seymour, etc) but LL looked so good this summer. 197 lacks depth and one of Barr's toughest competitors will be his teammate, Mirasola. Unless someone talks a big leap forward, it is hard to see anyone beating Barr. Right now I would favor Henson over SVN but it's a coin flip. 157 is gonna be a dog fight for PJ to make the starting lineup and then he will battle the likes of Antrell Taylor, Meyer Shapiro, Daniel Cardenas, etc. Would I be surprised to see PJ win that weight class? Nope. He's that good but folkstyle is a different ballgame than freestyle and there is a learning curve to mat wrestling, especially considering that he will be focused on freestyle leading up to the world championships. Same thing for Blaze at 133 as it is for PJ at 157, expect that 133 is even deeper → Crookham, Byrd, Ayala, Davino, Fuggitt, Figueroa, Frost, Ragusin, Shawver, etc.. -
Mr Feels himself playing the tissue card. You can’t make it up.

Just to clarify, I do agree that seniors is THE measure of success and I’m not proclaiming this young group is going to rival JB, Snyder, Dake, and Taylor just yet. But it’s hard to ignore their age level (and above age level) results and not be excited for the future! To be honest heading into and after 2024 Olympics, I was a bit worried about our future because of seeing some of our GOATs ending or heading towards the end of their careers. I think many don’t realize how spoiled we were with several all time greats all competing at the same time. I’m just saying these young guys are making me feel a lot better about the possibility of seeing more guys to pass the torch to!

I think free speech is definitely something that shouldn't be chipped away at...just like the 2nd amendment. I assume your logic holds true for 2A too Trip?? Obviously we know the answer to that..... However, do I have a problem with doing background checks...not really but understand why people wouldn't want them. Do I have a problem with trying to not allow mentally ill people or those that are convicted of domestic violence from legally possessing a firearm...not really. And similar to those things, I have no problem banning burning of flags...as it takes "free speech" from being about speech and turns it into a hideous action and thus not about speech any longer. -
especially with a style that is largely predicated on being able to move and get your opponent out of position. Henson is a hoss.
