Ronald Reagan approves this post.

Smart money might be on tOSU longer-term. Their president will be pushing for disproportional media splits in the next B1G contract. Some of that cash windfall would have to trickle down to wrestling, right? Right?

Has a high school ever had a better big 3 than McCort?
fishbane replied to Truzzcat's topic in High School Wrestling
They can't be that far off. Last year they were 2nd at PIAA AA States and had the second most team points ever with 4 champs (tied for the most ever) and 9 medalists (3rd best ever). Unfortunately they didn't win the tournament. Faith Christian had 4 champions and 10 medalists which both represent the team record. Five McCort wrestlers on last years team have committed to wrestle D1; Magro (2025 Rutgers), Butler (2026 Cal Baptist), Forrest (2026 OSU), Sam Herring (2026 PSU), and Rodriguez (2026 Pitt). Another five (Bo Bassett (2026), Keegan Bassett (2028), Eli Herring (2028), Miller (2027), and O'Farrill (2028)) are highly likely to wrestle D1. That would make 10 D1 wrestlers on the roster. Only one of Silfies, Carfley, or Pensiero would need to go D1 to match Davison. -
Unpacking the Myth of Widespread Illegal Voting in Federal Elections
jross replied to jross's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Every qualified citizen should automatically have the chance to vote, but there is something to be credited for the personal agency of manual registration. Though I'd say registration at vote time is fine! Just having an SSN isn’t enough to verify eligibility for registration... Just look at the chart for the count of SSNs issued to non-citizens through the Enumeration Beyond Entry program. There should be high-quality, real-time verification across the federal and state level (one vote, living SSN, documents match, ...). -

I agree that Cael is being stubborn, but I think it has more to do with his not wanting to be nudged into supporting National Duals than animosity towards Taylor. This might be a topic for a whole separate thread, but hypothetically if Cael decides to retire tomorrow, do you think DT would accept the PSU job? Would Cael push the AD into hiring Taylor as his successor?

White Conservatives are the biggest threat

“When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” - Trump “If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, okay? Just knock the hell—I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise.” - Trump Sitting Republican Senator: “We pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical-left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections … The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within.” -Trump -
Maybe the tournament should take the PSU $200k and give it to Flo to ensure that one of their broadcasts actually work beginning to end.

So ^^ this^^ is The Reveal that's there's gonna be A Reveal.

This is a great idea. It's a preseason tournament, why not send a backup team? It would be fun as hell to see how they measure up

He didn't give me loads of stuff but there is a recruit from a big time PA high school for wrestling, around the 170lb weight that I believe won Fargo that is super interested in PSU. You may be able to guess the high school. He wouldn't tell me the name because he is not allowed. Aaron Nagao and Braeden Davis are super nice kids according to this booster. Tyler Kasak 100% had a concussion last year. There is one PSU wrestler who started the last two years who is legit terrified he may never win a starting spot at PSU again. He would be ranked in the top 3 to start the year. Carter is a nutcase. That's it. That and the info about the 133lb and 141lb plans for who is starting. He did mention that no wrestle offs have happened so things can change, but Blaze was promissed 133lbs and Davis is the plan at 141lbs. EDIT: One more thing. Blaze is a lefty and has a cannon in dodgeball. EDIT 2: Sorry I keep remembering things. He said Bo Bassett would be comitted to PSU if not for his father. -
Oliver has been competing non-stop, in some form of athletic competition since he was four. Logan hasn't competed in many years at that sort of level. This would not be a match.

He will be soon enough. Dude is legit

I feel like Nagao could still be in the fight for 141, unless he got hurt. Seems naturally bigger than Davis to "grow into" 141.

Are saving the rest as a surprise? -
I hope the injury/surgery isn't as serious as I'm thinking it is, and if so, that Vito will prioritize his long-term health. It's tough enough for many of us to walk away from the sport when you've still got that itch, and I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be for someone with Arujau's talent to stay off the mat.

An insider told me this past weekend while tailgating for the PSU/Oregon game, amongst some other inside stuff. I had only ever read these rumors online, but this guy told me to my face. -

Yeah, exactly. Makes taking a loss that much tougher. See the recent posts about Spencer Lee, who also very rarely loses. -

Hmmm? Seems like I read this somewhere... -
Oh and to address the drivers license thing. People who are here illegally in most states cannot get a driver's license. Even when a non citizen can get a license, at least here anyway, there is a specific designation and form filled out. So somebody who can get a license isn't registered to vote. It's not automatic if you're a citizen either.

What is the vision and final destination for the combat life of a wandering road warrior like Gable S.? Something like Hunger Games meets Mad Max meets Squid Games? A post-apocalyptic wasteland where the marginalized are forced to compete in sadistic, state-sponsored survival games for the amusement of a tyrannical water-hoarding elite? -

I have a little inside info on this. Blaze will start at 133lbs for PSU and Davis will start at 141lbs for PSU. I don't normally get inside info, but I did this time. You're welcome.
