Or is she faking it. Why would someone fake that?

Hopefully nobody draws Israel. In fact, I hope they're on the opposite half of every bracket. I would like to respectively leave it at that. I just want to see good wrestling.

I was pensive at first when I heard Edmonds to 149lbs, because his success at 141lbs was limited, and sporadic - albeit he could wrestle close with anyone. Then he went to 70 KG (~154lbs) and won the U23 title, so I am much more happy with the idea of him at 149lbs. Lamer will always be the 'one that got away' for me. Kid seemed like dynamite when I met him... good, firm morals. Now he's on his 3rd school in four years. It's just disappointing we couldn't keep him at UofM. Thought you meant Mizzou's David Cross. To which, I was like 'Master Crane?!' Then I look now and see that he isn't on their roster. He was last year, but hasn't wrestled since the 2023-24 season - so now I am sad.

Over the weekend, we posted a recruiting update for the stars of the Class of 2027. Unfortunately, it proved to be two days early as the top junior in the country made a modification to his recruiting list, while cutting down to six teams. 2024 U17 World Team member and #1 overall, Melvin Miller (Bishop McCort, PA), used social media to give the wrestling world an update on his recruiting process thus far. Miller’s top six consists of Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. Ohio State and Virginia Tech were a pair of schools that did not initially appear on his first recruiting list. Removed during this update were Arizona State, Missouri, NC State, and Pittsburgh. At this point, we haven’t been notified of any official campus visits for Miller. That’s not unusual as the visits really got ramped up for the fall over Labor Day weekend. Miller’s recruiting situation is unique since he could be a package deal with his brother, Bo Bassett, the #2 overall recruit in the Class of 2026. Bassett initially committed to Iowa, but has since re-opened the recruiting process. Miller is expected to be in action in October at the Super 32. He won the 144 lb weight class in 2023 and was third at 157 lbs last year. We’ll have more on Miller’s recruiting situation as it develops.

Amouzad, Emami. Nokhodi, Firouzpour, Azarpira and Zare are seeded. Good luck to whoever draws the unseeded Ghassempour and Little Yaz.

Considering the fact that you deal in this exact same arena... that really does mean something (for a change.)

Same here, they were doing that when I was a little kid in the early 1990's. Probably not so brilliant when you consider that it has been a normal practice for some 30+ years. But - cool - that ignorant people finally catch up to the very people they are constantly criticizing and then act like they discovered everything themselves.

Hey D3, you gave me a meaningful potato during U20's. You fickle basta** - now handing them out like they are... some kind of easy tubers. -

How easy was it to secure the border... 1st and foremost - the border still isn't secure. Migrants are still making their way across it EVERY DAY. 2nd - that (failed) effort cost taxpayers $165 billion - so, no, it wasn't easy at all. In a time where our countries checking account is already overdrawn to the tune of trillions of dollars. Running up more charges in the hundreds of billions is just plain dumb. It's just common sense that tells us this is an epic failure. Politicians and other dopes are telling us it was some kind of success.... but it wasn't. Throwing money at a problem to try to solve it never solves it. That's what the Democrats used to try to do (and failed) - now it's the Republicans trying to do it (and are failing.) Simply because that strategy will never work. (Both parties realized it, and both parties responded the same way - declaring success. As if we're all morons.) -

More semantical, but one thing the thread points out, there wasn't "Division I" until the 1973-1974. College Division teams weren't scoring team points. -

Keller Rock from Embry-Riddle (Arizona) to Oregon State. Cool name, but I hadn't heard the name before. He's faced his fair share of D1 wrestlers and defeated a number of them. -
So hard to know the skill level of people in international freestyle. The league needs a season and everyone wrestling a lot more matches. Compared to high school or ncaa, we are guessing based on months and years in the past. When someone top ranked loses to someone lower ranked, it's not even considered a real upset since it happens so frequently.

Northwestern is east of Northeastern, south of North Shore, and has a student population lower than Chicago Heights. 'Bout all the nice things I can say about those Kellogg folks and their corn flakes from my booth.

What's your thought on Northwestern?

Kristoff was an olympian and both his sons won NCAA D2 or D3 titles as well. One of his sons was one of our coaches for Team IL and I'm pretty sure the other reffed at least one of my matches at state (but that could be a fake memory at this stage in my life tbh).
