  3. Thank you for sharing that informative post, Irani... a little bit of that '72 freestyle history from Munich!
  4. This just in: Federal District Judge J. Boasberg orders all hostages returned to captivity and the IDF to re-occupy Gaza declaring President Trump exceeded his authority under the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut enacted in 1639. In his written ruling Boasberg declared that there is no President, no Israel, and no Gaza identified in the Fundamental Orders therefore the President has no authority whatsoever to do anything. Ever. Hat tip to the Babylon Bee. The headline is shown below but I imagined the content as the parody article is behind a paywall.
  5. I was led to believe it couldn’t be done. It’s almost like politicians can’t be trusted?
  6. for the first time in her home she feels safe. She isn’t afraid to let her kids play in the yard. Other kids now get to play on the streets and feel safe. She no longer hears gun shots. Or gang banger kids bothering her. only the left would make fun of that. They truly don’t want to help inner city black and brown people. The people they pretend to want to help. Only the left would trivialize a video like this. She isn’t involved with politics. She just wants her kids to be safe.
  7. Otto was great one and got a 6th year (medical hardship)due to an injury early his 5th year.

  9. Oh, one other takeaway: Zinkin IIRC was literally the only Senior that was still 17. Every other athlete that I recall was already the age they should be turn by completion of their grade (ie: 16 for Soph, 17 Jr, 18 Sr) or older. Ariah Mills is already 16 as a Freshman. I knew hold backs were common, but I didn't realize that everyone was a year older for their grade. I'm sure a couple of athletes are the natural year for their grade and just have September/early October birthdays, but I'm assuming the vast majority of these athletes will be turning a year older during this school year. The holdbacks don't bother me but I couldn't help but notice.
  10. Yes. The Mills family has 19 children.

  12. I just noticed in the sidebar that Nico DeSalvo committed to ASU. What happened with Minny? Big early pull for the Sun Devils.
  13. Matt Taibbi “Comey was a key player in the production and dissemination of phony evidence that created a false national security crisis in which the world was led to believe a sitting president was a stooge of Vladimir Putin. There is no “free speech absolutist” alive who’d count perjury and classified leaks as protected First Amendment activity. In Comey’s case there’s the additional novelty of classifying false information that was then leaked, to produce a desired political effect. This was comprehensive abuse of federal investigative machinery, and Trump was not the only victim. If there was such a thing as defamation of the entire United States, Comey would be liable.” https://www.racket.news/p/jim-comey-a-man-of-many-faces-none
  14. Movahed’s last match this was Movahed in 1972. He won this match 13-2 but tore his bicep muscle and was unable to go on. https://www.instagram.com/share/BAlwmXTFHS he would have had to face Dan Gable and given that Movahed was at the end of his career and failed to win gold in 1971 for the first time in 7 years, Movahed would have most likely lost
  15. As much as I dislike the Cowboys kudos to 2x WI state Champ Hunter Luepke

  23. The Tony Davis one was insane. Three part episode. Dude went from being the GOAT in Illinois kids' wrestling, to one of the top junior prospects in the country, to dropout gangbanger getting jumped in the streets as a whole life spiral that started when he lost to Reggie Wright in the state final. Then after a lot of hard work, the right team around him, and big change of scenery he winds up losing in the NCAA final to former teammate and lifelong friend TJ, and then wins it all the next year. You get the vibes from the interviews that he'd most likely would have quickly become a victim of street violence (dead or in prison) had JUCO coaches and eventually Mark Manning not knocked on his door in that moment. Chicago was a whole hell of a lot worse in the mid 90's with gang activity. Talk about "wrestling changed my life"... what a story to tell! He is a teacher now (same with Reggie Wright, FWIW) so I hope he's inspiring a bunch of kids with his experiences/back story! Here it is: https://wrestlingchangedmylife.com/escape/
