Tired OF wrestling, not from wrestling. Tired of wrestling as in ready for the next stage of life, not finding joy in the process anymore. His demeanor hasn’t been enthusiastic around competition for a long time.

Nagao has got to transfer or he'll spend the rest of his career riding the pine. I can think of a bunch of schools that can use a good 133 pounder.

You have to reckon the family is planning on their kid getting a scholarship to pay for it all someday. The sport I've seen the most about, regarding parents traveling so their kids can train, is probably gymnastics. I've heard of parents driving hundreds of miles a few times a week so their kids can be coached up by famous coaches.

It just seems soft based on the videos I see. They'll show someone who...is clearly a Wrestler and talk about what a "bad sport" he is because he's trying to handfight and...then gets choked out. That and then the scooting on their rear like a dog with worms. But I do know a lot of people still doing it when their 40. That wouldn't make it...not low impact.

Yeah...I generally zone out to all the PSU-Iowa petty nonsense. I'm skeptical that Miller is an Iowa lean because Bo is though. His cousins are the Gibson's right? He was blindsided with the Bassett family(though I guess Oher did end up with Ole' Miss). I'm not that invested in...any of this. I think BJJ is much lower impact. Maybe they take it easy on me because I'm the oldest guy in the room. I know even the mild calisthenics at the beginning of practice nearly wipes me out, I'm in such bad shape! The folks are super nice as befits practitioners of "the gentle art". My first BJJ practice I had to borrow an ill-fitting gi and everybody thought it was weird I was wearing wrestling shoes. I had to get permission to wear them because everybody else was barefoot. After the calisthenics the instructor started demonstrating a triangle choke (headlock to wrestlers) and choked out his partner! I couldn't believe it! I never saw a guy get choked out in wrestling practice (although I did choke out a guy with a perfectly legal headlock in HS on two different occasions). Also in BJJ you don't have to worry about back points! Like prostitutes, Jujitsuka do their best work on their backs. Oh yeah, the best part is I'm better at taking people down than anybody in the room, even as a 60 year old! Seriously, didn't you just take to BJJ like a duck to water? I already know 90% of what they are teaching, just by different names.

I can only see one guy touching Ono...and if Ono can get out on bottom, even Crookham won't be able to. But that's the tough part. I have absolutely no clue what's going on with Nagao.

Fake news. The reason some PSU fans are dunking on Iowa over the Duke-Miller match is bc the perception is that Iowa is the leading candidate for Miller's services.

The mat wrestling is always what gets the FS guys in folk. Ono is a brute for his size though, shouldn't take much to coach him up on how to ride/turn people, just teach him something easy like the Tulsa ride. He's lightning fast so escapes should come naturally. I'll be honest, I don't think he'll be able to win an NCAA title, but he'll be in the hunt. What's going on with Nagao? Is he transferring out or moving up?

I've noticed a lot of techs in FS for several years now. Scoring needs to be tweaked or something, maybe?
