well just combine the fact that its an age group event with the fact that some kids are held back and some aren't along with the fact that some people have good "fargo birthdays" and some have terrible ones...and all of a sudden you've got some match ups that don't seem like they make sense but actually do.

Still a ways to go but that kid PJ wrestled in the finals, Melvin Miller, is still just a sophomore. He is lightning quick and gave Duke all he wanted. 70k is a big weight for a 16 year old to impose himself on much more mature opponents. Very impressive run to the Finals. He might just make that list in the next year.

I'd be ok w small donations but also a public fund for donations. I actually have my own idea for govt that I shared a few times in the past. In short though, I agree w elections but they should all be extremely small. You win your very local election first and you may be voted by your own legislative body to represent it at the next higher level. You win 7 or so of these very small and secret ballot elections involving only people that know you and keep advancing and you could be president.

How is this person wrestling this person for age world teams when one is halfway through college and the other is halfway through high school. I think one is a young phenom about to take over only to find out they're 20. Seems absurd.

I'd agree. I was hoping that someone would admit either stand by their take or eat some crow. Spout off ridiculous statements, and either own them or admit you were being a silly boy. But I think "the beast" just says things off of feelings rather than any actual wrestling intel. I think Kish has done a good job considering he hasn't even put one of his own recruiting classes on the mat yet, but they've brought in some quality recruits and some guys that are under the radar. Again, I choose to hope for positivity before burying a coaching regime. Oklahoma is not Oklahoma State, and they haven't been all that relevant since Spates. If they could return to a consistent top 10 program, that would be huge in todays world of college wrestling.
