So you're saying you don't think Trump's bill will get passed? You think the GOP is going to break and stand up to him finally?
-
Yup! You realize this is just... laughably made up, right? The US Government sent up a child that "will be born 129 years from now 41,000 dollars?" And you're all so stupid you believe this! I "literally" did not, I "literally" said the CHILDREN who are BORN here are US Citizens and THEN said that undocumented immigrants do not receive money from Federal Social Programs. Now...MAYBE you don't understand that if you're BORN in this country, per the constituion, you're a CITIZEN of this Country... But what's really funny is you didn't say anything about @Scouts Honor just ABSURD video where a women comes up with these facebook facts that are insane.

Agree with all of this. To your last point, I'm always skeptical when I hear about NIL dollars, but bear in mind that they're over a year away from seeing any of that income. All those flights/hotels could quickly add up, and that's all on a high school teacher's salary. I can see how it's a really big deal. Still, given how sudden this seemingly was, and with the whole family cutting ties, you have to think there was some testiness to the final exchange. Rational people would try to work through this, especially when there's so much invested on both sides in the whole "Bassetts to Iowa" thing. You're right that confirmed facts are very limited, but I'd wager a fair sum that there was a clash of adult egos here, and the Bassett kids are following their parents' lead.

Ain't that the truth. Bro literally has his name on the wrestling room and it's not enough. In the future though, deep-pocketed entities will likely be able to take equity stakes in athletic programs once pay-for-play really gets going. ADs and department stakeholders are going to have to learn to live with ceding control of their programs

I had a response that didn't post.

Any in America in the last few months? And not a carjacking in a parking lot or some homeless people attacking each other at a church-run shelter. My point in bringing up the soccer thing was you need to bring up other countries to find these stories because it’s rare in the US.

Let me help you with this. Of course I'm sure you're already familiar with it.

Your Strawman is limiting the discussion to America. But even if that's the case I showed you several videos of churches being attacked and churches violence in general. Now tell me a those were covered by national mainstream media.

It's ugly, but honestly, Nicolls just saying the quiet part out loud. This is the new reality, where wrestlers aren't just beholden to their coaches, but also to their NIL sponsors. In some ways, even more so. The coach can make you run sprints or do pushups if you screw up, but your NIL sponsor can work the levers in the NIL agreement to minimize your comp if you don't perform to your sponsor's expectations. What's more, many boosters who pay big NIL bucks aren't doing it because it's economically sensible (as it usually isn't). They're doing it so they can have a sense of power and control over their favorite sports team, and/or because they want to be able to brag to their buddies about it and be seen by them as influential. So the quiet part is getting said out loud more and more.

I don't think any legitimate sources have confirmed or denied that OKST is paying for Jax's travel to and from Stillwater. Likewise, there haven't been any confirmed sources that have said the Bassett's were expecting their travel to be paid for, and/or who's expenses they wanted covered. The only things that seem to be facts at this point is that Jax has been spending a good amount of time training at Oklahoma State, and when Bill reached out to Brands wanting Bo (and likely Melvin and Keegan) to have similar training opportunities at Iowa, he was told they couldn't due to a compliance issue. If the numbers that Bo was supposedly going to make through NIL at Iowa are remotely true, a few planes tickets seems like a pretty trivial reason to decommit from a school you have been heavily endorsing since February. Especially when you're a family that flies all over the country year round to attend every major tournament.

Altering your wrestling career in such a big way, over such a small thing, is WILD. But, as I said, maybe better for all parties involved. The Bassetts sound like they might be a handful, and maybe BB can add something new to his repertoire elsewhere.

You want to try that again? "I made a post specific to 62000 murder in Nigeria." Did this happen in your head or in the real world? By since YOU posted a video about Syria, why would you be confused someone "brought Syria into this?" I mean, NONE of this makes sense as the original context was clearly Churches in America and our Media not covering it, but lets ignore that since you're trying to make a pont. Where was the Nigera reference...and WHAT the hell was it!
