Brooks story: True or False?
Husker_Du replied to Interviewed_at_Weehawken's topic in International Wrestling
you guys have the same energy/hate for the many muslims that say, essentially, the same thing as Brooks but in reverse? the bottom line is that's what they believe. i find it funny that the same class of people that scream inclusion and acceptance vilify people for their words. and in this instance, selectively. did i like the comment? no. do i like when others subjugate my beliefs? no. but to each, their own. it harms me none. -
Thanks for that. Just saw Azarpira beat Bazri to make worlds team, I really have high hopes for Azarpira medalling this year at worlds but it will be tough. I'm just surprised it was such a close match (3-0). Is Bazri really that good or did Azarpira wrestle poorly? Bazri seems to have quite a lot of support within Iranian wrestling circles like Goleij and Babaei but I never considered him to be a contender for a worlds spot. I know he is a junior silver medalist but he is 27 and hasn't really impressed apart from that. It doesn't look good for Azarpira imo especially 2 months out of worlds.

Too bad they couldn't figure out how to correctly rank Ivy greyshirt freshmen. For instance, at 149 Jaxon Joy (who went 29-1 last year) pinned Hibler. At 165 Louis Cerchio (who went 29-6) beat Myers and majored Taylor.

White Conservatives are the biggest threat
1032004 replied to Scouts Honor's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
This one didn’t seem politically motivated. Looks like more a factor of living through a parents’ divorce, possibly witnessing abuse, etc. The shooter was likely not conservative, although his parents were. Just enough information for both sides to blame the other, in reality it was probably the fault of neither -
This podcast says at 1:02 that they believe the reason for Arnold’s dismissal (or at least the final straw) was that the staff asked him to come to campus and he did not. No mention of lying about a camp, but there was mention of him being on vacation with his girlfriend. This was the first I’ve seen a media member talk about an actual reason for his departure. I was surprised Flo basically chalked it up to “well he probably wasn’t going to start anyway.” Which is particularly stupid because they’d need him if Kennedy or Ferrari get hurt, maybe even Caliendo if it happened early enough to allow Kennedy to drop to 165. And BOTH Caliendo and Kennedy graduate this year, so they could have easily just had him “medical redshirt” like Nagao and Facundo.

*SD, yes I knew there were other guys besides Buchanan and Teemer that did that last year, thank you for the reminder

Marcus was recently quoted as saying he walks around at 63 kg. Since he will be at 65 kg for U23 he will definitely be giving up some size for those who have to cut to make 65 kg. He will be at 61 kg for U20.

Brooks story: True or False?
Psalm 1 guy replied to Interviewed_at_Weehawken's topic in International Wrestling
I haven't heard this interview, but I would think it highly more likely that a Christian chanting "walk on water" would be referring to Peter and not Jesus. When Peter kept his eyes on Jesus he was able to walk on the water. When he started looking at the waves and wind he lost his faith and began to sink. In that context I would think "walk on water" is shorthand for keeping your eyes on Jesus and not fearing the "wind and waves" of your current trial. See Matthew 14:22-33 -

Nice job. And also, good to know you own ScootersHonor, GeneMillsWhatever, and mspart-of-your-biatch-network. Proud of you JimmySpanks. You're really moving up in this virtual world. Maybe getting close to 3 in a world where the others are in the 500,000's - and the tops are in the 1B+ Keep spanking it Jimmy - you'll catch up. (Oh, and don't forget to be mean to posters. Being mean to people that want to participate is probably the formula the biggest winners are using. Right?) -
... not to ruin the surprise, but mspart is playing some guitar and recording a little bit of it for him to share.

That is exactly what I'm talking about - just post like 5 seconds of Kansas. That's first year guitar stuff. You don't have to be good at it. Good isn't the point. Just play like nobody is listening. You can play the songs - so just fire 'em up and give us a short audio sample. (I'll help you with uploading if you need it.) -

I appreciate that. As long as we're going to spend time here exchanging ideas. The very least we can do is to show enough respect to not misrepresent others we may not agree with. I could easily misrepresent your posts, which would lead us to nowhere better - just more bickering. Your conviction is suspect at this point, but I'm sure you'll come around. Because... logic.
