  2. The Russian criticism of the US approach is that it’s too focused on conditioning/physicality, and not enough on technique/strategy. And they consistently prove that criticism to be true each World Championship/Olympics. This refutes the whole argument that success in wrestling is purely or mostly conditioning based.
  3. haha. i love it cinnabon!
  4. Bo's was worse... Nickal has to hope to have as good a career as Askren.
  5. The rule reads that the injury occurs before the start of the second half of the season, which is the 10th date for wrestling, AND the injury occurs when the athlete has not participated in more than 30% of eligible dates, which in wrestling is defined as six. He is fine on the number of competition dates (four) but his last competition date was the eleventh for the team, so he participated in the second half of the season. Given that, I am not sure how he gets another year for 2024.
  6. Maybe @nhs67 will work on the Wkn pic for the album cover. I know there's a whole album of Wkn material.
  7. almost a 'cats not in the cradle vibe'

  9. @ionel got my lyrics for a masterpiece. stay tuned
  10. This got me thinking about the ways that Gary Hall Jr. and I are complete opposites. Hall Jr.'s father and grandfather were world class swimmers, too. I do not every recall seeing my father in a pool, and my grandfather was a coal miner. While he passed before I was born, I just can't imagine him in a pool either. Hall Jr. was a drop dead sprinter. World class at 100m and under. Never saw a 101st meter. I was a distance swimmer's distance swimmer. It took me 500m just to get going. Hall Jr. medaled in three Olympics. I once qualified for a lone Olympic Trials. So, I'm real close on this one. At 218 lbs. Hall Jr. needed 6'6" to carry that weight. Very inefficient. I get within a biscuit of that while only using 5'10".
  11. which due process should take place first; the hearing for his illegal entry? or the hearing for his gang relationship, travel with convicted human traffickers car and address, domestic abuse, large drug and cash possession, or just start with the deportation? we should do them all before or after he comes back? The precedent was ship them out since before Clinton. Last question Do you want to financial support all these?
  12. Iowa is obviously a big lean, but I do think Melvin will give real consideration to other schools
  13. https://jonathanturley.org/ The 46th News & Documentary Emmy Awards nominations are out, and it seems that everyone is talking about just one of them. The “Outstanding Edited Interview” category is hardly a common draw for public or even industry attention. However, one of this year’s nominees is CBS for its primetime special featuring then-Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The interview is the basis for a $20 billion lawsuit by President Donald Trump against CBS News and its parent company, Paramount Global, alleging election interference due to the biased editing out of an embarrassing answer by Harris. They just can't help themselves, so tone deaf. So divorced from reality. Crazy. mspart
  14. True, I think that’s the heaviest lean in the class lol. Schwab to UNI Villasensor to OkieSt Miller to Iowa Those I feel the most confident about.

  16. @Wrestleknownothing, saw you were in the news today. Congrats! https://www.olympics.com/ioc/news/swimming-legend-gary-hall-jr-receives-10-replacement-olympic-medals-after-losing-originals-in-la-wildfires
  17. Everything has consequences. Deliberately pissing off liberals not smart in long run because they'll undoubtedly be back in partial power after 2026 and overall power after 2028. Next President could be just as much of a monster as Trump, only liberal this time. May make AOC look very level headed.
  18. That would be the same as the Tyler Brennan argument because 2021 was a free year for everyone. If you get hurt that year you don't get another year.
  19. There is no rationalization. Trump doesn't want to bring him back. He is listening to the attorneys with responsibility here. Again, the question revolved around jury trials for all deportations all illegal aliens and he wasn't sure that was a good or proper idea. That is where he wasn't sure. He said they will follow SCOTUS. Legally, what does facilitate mean? Due process was given Abrego in 2019. The conditions of that are now no longer a deal. So his protective order of release into the country is no longer valid. I really don't see an issue. If he comes back, he will be deported again. mspart
  20. Seems like for a little while there he was in the wrong weight class (133). He looked like a zombie after his cut to 133. I remember him getting ragdolled by a few lower caliber wrestlers who had no business beating him - because it wasn't the right weight for him. The way he left Rutgers and went to a place in OK State that didn't have a guaranteed starting spot for him. Lost some opportunity there and finally got it right at Rider this past year.
  21. He’s pretty easy to find on LinkedIn.
  22. Could they maybe argue that 2021 was a redshirt/medical redshirt year since he only wrestled 3 matches?
  23. Hayden Schwab to N. Iowa
