  2. God, that is somehow even more brutal than it was last year. Anybody who ends up on the podium at this weight has more than earned it.
  3. Is that where the sleepy joe nickname came from? He also claimed he was flying all over the world at the time when he took two full weeks off to prep.
  4. New Kent State head coach Josh Moore’s first coaching staff is starting to round out as the school has announced a pair of hires this week. Both are familiar faces for those who have followed Moore’s career. On Monday, the Golden Flashes announced that Fred Garcia would join Moore on the Kent State staff. Garcia has spent the past two seasons assisting Moore at Cleveland State. During Garcia’s tenure at CSU, he helped heavyweight Daniel Bucknavich to a pair of NCAA berths and a runner-up finish at the MAC Championships. His 197 lber, Ben Smith, was a conference champion in 2024. Before coming to Cleveland State, Garcia spent five years coaching at Binghamton. While at Binghamton, the Bearcats had 17 wrestlers qualify for the NCAA Tournament and three earned EIWA titles. He was on the bench as Louie DePrez got on the NCAA podium in 2021 and earned NWCA First-Team All-American honors the prior year. Garcia wrestled collegiately for Moore’s twin brother, Scott, at Lock Haven. He qualified for the NCAA Championships three times after finishing as a three-time EWL runner-up. Not only did KSU announce Garcia’s hiring this week, but they also added Devin Schroder to the coaching staff on Tuesday. Schroder reunites with Moore as the two coached together at Cleveland State during the 2022-23 season. Since then, Schroder has been on the Wyoming staff. While in Laramie, Schroder worked closely with 125 lber Jore Volk. Volk was a Big 12 champion and an NCAA fourth-place finisher in 2024. He was injured and missed most of the 2024-25 campaign. During his two years at Wyoming, Schroder oversaw eight wrestlers earning trips to the NCAA tournament - two of which ended up making the NCAA podium. In addition to the assistant coaching duties, Schorder will also be the recruiting coordinator for Kent State. His Wyoming squad is coming off a #19 national recruiting ranking from InterMat.
  5. Good news is i really couldn’t care less what you think of me. I’m happy as F”(“). Freedom is a beautiful thing. My wife can be out in public without covering her face and even drive a car if she wants. Off to the boat for some fishing today. Have a great day owning your intelligence
  6. I’m too busy living the American dream to worry about your toilet HANDle.
  7. Today
  8. FWIW, those are Wrestlestat's 'rankings' and include everyone. Walters is the #29 ranked starter, which means they are 'rated' to have 10 NQ. I think Ragusin and Catrabone have the most vertical movement likely, followed closely by Walters and Ghadiali. The biggest chance of a drop would likely be Mantanona at 184lbs. His 'rating' appears highly inflated due to 10/12 matches being bonus point victories last season. He also appeared much smaller than Henckle (Penn State True Frosh this year) at U20s 79 KG (174lbs) finals. I hope he fills out, as I would like to see both Mantanona brothers attempt to compete for a team spot in their careers. It would be nice to not have to watch them face one another.
  9. https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/40/michigan/profile Interesting in that Michigan now has the younger Mantanona brother heading up to 184lbs with Joe Walker staying on for one more year. 125 - #27 Sotello, 2x NQ 133 - #14 Ragusin, 1x AA, 4x NQ 141 - #6 Lemley, 2x NQ 149 - #5 McNeil, 3x AA, 3x NQ 157 - #33 Catrabone, RSFR 165 - #7 Mantanona, 1x NQ 174 - #29 Walker, 0x NQ 184 - #6 Mantanona, RSFR 197 - #35 Walters, RSSO 285 - #10 Ghadiali, 1x AA, 4x NQ
  10. America, where even the poor are fat.
  11. He created a new mess for the Biden administration by claiming his father was on Ambien
  12. Any discussion about Burroughs taking over as the head coach is a waste of space. The Penn wrestling community is ecstatic that Valenti will be taking over this year. While Matt is a good dude and a good coach people forget that he was a three time All-American and a two-time national champ for Penn, probably the greatest folk style wrestler in Penn wrestling history. As a former Penn wrestler and big supporter of the program, I think the future looks bright for Penn wrestling.
  13. He retired after like 25 years as head coach, although it is speculated he was pressured to do so. Indiana had very weak teams under him. Escobedo and Dubuque were champs for him. And then Chalfant at heavyweight got 2nd and Taylor Walsh got 2nd too(maybe a 2x AA). Brandon Becker was a 3x AA. Nate Jackson was a 2x AA. There's probably 2 or 3 more AAs from early 2000's under his tenure that I cannot recall.
  14. USA has brought home a medal at 92kg every year since the new weight classes in 2017 with J'den Cox 2017 through 2022, Zahid 2023, David Taylor 2024. Hidlay looks like he can keep the streak alive. If we are only looking at World Championships since 92kg is not at the Olympics, the streak at 74kg goes back to 2011, although Burroughs failed to medal in 2016, so you can say 2017 for 74kg too if you want.
  15. Draft action from the Champions League of American Wrestling (CLAW) concluded on Tuesday night as teams filled out their rosters in the final four rounds of the league’s inaugural draft. On Monday, GM’s made picks in Rounds 1-4. Each CLAW dual lineup has seven slots, so each team has a backup available, as well. 17. Duane Goldman get the ax at IU? Or step down?
  18. I’ve been busy and just now seeing these lists of top schools for both Anderson and Borge. Mizzou would love to have both of you. Dean spent some time with and took pictures with Keegan O’Toole and Aeoden Sinclair while at Fargo. Hopefully that’s a good sign for all of us Tiger fans.
  19. Jordan is just going to deny, blame other people, and say it's a conspiracy against him.
  20. And Strom Thurmond, much more recently, left the Democratic party because he opposed civil rights for blacks. Your point?
