Can you provide any proof that "he has tremendous support amongst young jews"? I searched and couldn't find any source that indicates he has much support from the Jewish population in NYC. Also, I watched several clips of the news reporter asking if he condemns the phrase "globalize the intifada" and he never condemns it...he talks around the issue and says things like you indicated above but that doesn't mean he condemns the phrase. I truly question why he can't just come out and say he condemns it.

I agree 100% that this is a spectacle, just like everything else the wingers put on. I can't believe we have what is now a 3-page thread about a prison or whatever it is surrounded by gators. The gators mean nothing substantive.

There are clergy services, medical services, legal services, and a judge(s) on site for the purpose of expediting the hearings (due process) for the detained illegal immigrants. There is even full air conditioning in each of the units. As stated the true measure will be if innocents end up there for periods of time, and/or if the hearings process as laid out does not come to fruition. At that point, you may have something. But as it's planned and laid out it is not at all what you describe.

What i thought i saw from just skimming this thread is that we don't need 'journalists' or at least we don't need so darn many. It seems to be suggested that journalist can only write about something after the trial and the "facts" are all in and the jury has reached a verdict as to which facts we can believe. Now if we want to talk about things that are true that could be reported: It's true that Beau said what he said about what happened. We don't know that he actually reported all to Sanderson but a good journalist could ask Cael. It's true his wife said what she said. It's true two (or more) women made claims or at least a journalist could double check that and find out if they really were 17 and not suppose to have access. It appears to be true security footage exists. A journalist could investigate/ask who controls the tapes/hard drive, do the still exist, we're they deleted? It appears no one from the university has made comment. A journalist could investigate is this true and ask Cael, the AD, the president for comment if none why? I could go on. There are plenty of true things and fact to investigate which could generate several articles.

Yeah, they're packing thousands of people, many of whom haven't had due process, into a camp full of cages in the middle of Florida summer. Generally, when you pack thousands of people into a camp for a political purpose (the majority of these people have committed the equivalent of a speeding ticket), while using it for political show, producing merchandise and making a joke about prisoners being eaten by alligators, yeah...I think that qualifies as a concentration camp. Like everything with Trump, the cruelty of the spectacle is the point. They could accomplish these mass deportations in a much more humane way (he still hasn't deported as many people as Obama), but the whole point is that his base gets off on the cruelty. You enjoy seeing people you don't like suffer.
