  1. 1. Brooks 2. O'Toole 3. Starocci 4. Vito (was #1) 5. Carr (Keckeisen or Fix could move into this spot)
  2. Cael lost to Brian Burrows in the finals of Cadet FS in 1995. It was in Lincoln, NE. As a senior in HS, Cael lost to Zach Stalder from Omaha, NE in the semis at Junior GR. Cael won Freestyle.
  3. I think Ridge Lovett should probably take the 149 spot here.
  4. Minnesota is turning into AWA northwest. Riddle made some incredible jumps between his junior and senior year of HS which made him a steal of a recruit. He was probably a little bit overlooked because he lived in the same geographic vicinity as some other blue chip guys such as the Mirasola twins, Charlie Millard, and Braeden Scoles. However, that dude can scrap and is very hard to score on. I saw some Minnesota discussion that dismissed Riddle, Millard, and Wyatt Duchateau as "depth guys" for the Gophers, and I think that assessment is dead wrong, based on the trajectory of Askren (particularly Max Askren) protegees in college so far.
  5. A stint as assistant under Chris Bono or Obe Blanc may be what he needs to grow as a coach,
  6. Bryan Snyder, Jordan Burroughs, James Green, Tyler Berger, Peyton Robb
  7. Tervel Dlagnev. There isn't anyone in college or international ranks who has anything bad to say about him. He was instrumental in Kyle Snyder's development as well. A great role model and everyone sings his praises as being great in terms of technique instruction. Experience building relationships and recruiting top kids as well. Nebraska is lucky to have him but I could see him becoming HC somewhere. Askren is a superstar kids/club coach, but the Twitter X rants about cryptocurrency, conspiracy theories, and right-wing political stuff (like re-tweeting Cernovich) would be a problem with big college admin who are very liberal/PC.
  8. In a perfect world, Coach Doug Schwab would be the celebrity face of Mtn. Dew.
  9. I know UNI's team and Parker, in particular, really embrace the blue-collar brawler aesthetic, but geez. These guys are literally lugging equipment and mats around, painting and doing construction work on their own sparse facilities. I've been in MANY high schools with much nicer resources. Panther train literally traded headgear for hardhats. Meanwhile you look at the FLO "7 campuses in 7 days" videos and there are some teams that have some incredible facilities who UNI has recently beaten (tOSU). It all reminds me of Cary Kolat's story about the cold water pipe in Mongolia. How can you not root for UNI!
  10. Fan of Nebraska and UNI. I hope fans of rival teams enjoy Brock Hardy, Ridge Lovett, Lenny Pinto, Silas Allred, and Parker Keckeisen. B1G and Big12 wrestlers who I don't hate and might admire: Keegan O'Toole, David Carr, Bernie Truax, DJ Hamiti, Mitchell Mesenbrink, Matt Ramos, Wyatt Hendrickson, Tanner Cook, Andrew Alirez. All these guys are "Must Watch". Probably Hendrickson is my favorite to watch if I had to pick one.
  11. 5 finalists for AWA in Junior FS. 6 total with Danny Heiser at 16U 145 lbs. Interestingly, the finalists from AWA represent multiple gyms and coaches under the AWA banner: Madison (Spray): Haakon Peterson and Danny Heiser Mequon (Max Askren): Mirasola twins, Braeden Scoles (also AA's Charlie Millard and Ben Bast) Hartland (Ben Askren): Noah Mulvaney
  12. Realbuto wrestles internationally for Italy.
  13. For at least a couple of years, AOC has been in a graduate/masters program in school leadership and administration, so he not only has MMA aspirations but also the other side of running athletic programs. Maybe he'll be an AD some day?
  14. They have two hammers coming in Braeden Scoles and Chris Moore who will make a nice 1-2 punch at 165-174 sometime in the future. Moore is pretty underrated nationally...I've seen him quite a bit and he's right there with the best high schoolers at 170.
