  1. Mendoza is a career 133 because of his height imo.
  2. Correct. In fact, I remember @Jimmy Cinnabon standing pat that Aaron Brooks was too short to be successful at 197.
  3. Probably Scott Patrick in 2017 (I think???). But good for that program. Coach Carr era is trending up.
  4. Yes. But intentions of transitioning to an NCAA sport in the future. I know that's not concrete but hiring two full time coaches speaks volumes imo. Not too many club teams have two paid coaches.
  5. Okie State is investing in their women's program as well. Just hired Izaak Olejnik as HC and Gas Tank Gary as AC.
  6. I don't remember him at 157. I know he wrestled off Marinelli at 165 one year.
  7. As if 157/197 were realistic options for him. Lmao
  8. 1 hour before the tournament starts.
  9. World bronze/6-2 over 2x World Champ, perhaps it's time for the Magic Man to keep his cape on?
  10. I was actually originally just complimenting you by saying that you were one of the few that picked him to beat Mendez back in HS. Then I defended my original statement by trying to explain why the majority of the public picked Mendez to beat him. Sorry if it came off the wrong way. Wasn't my intention to offend.
  11. I’m assuming Aziz is on top of the ladder currently (at least in the coaches eyes). Otherwise he’d have the prelim match and Cael would have the bye.
  12. Swiderski wrestled 141 at a college open in December of 2021 (their senior year). It was pretty well known that he went up 2 weights (at least) for the team. Dundee won the team title that year and had a state champ at 145, a blood rounder at 140, and a state champ at 135.
  13. They have Evan Tallmadge (NJ) at 125 as well, who he and Vincent Santaniello both transferred from Navy (and in HS Anthony was also committed to Navy at one point).
  14. I think you're one of few who weren't surprised by that result.
  15. You don't get out much do you? Don't watch much interviews or really read any USA Wrestling news huh? He has said multiple times he is done after this world championships. So, I guess the answer is...yes?
  16. U23 World Team just to clarify. But in regards to his college results, he is 20-5 combined for his career. Yes, he lost 7-4 to Jack last year. But, was also pinned by Kelvin Griffin (Lehigh backup) and lost 4-1 to Cross Wasilewski (who was in HS last year). His best career win is probably over his teammate Fernandez or maybe Ethen Miller (back in January of 2022) who is 2-4 in his last two NCAAs. Hard to take that resume over Fernandez or Cornella.
  17. Not a Mizzou fan. But I'm from Missouri. And the answer is no, doesn't surprise me.
  18. This is relevant imo. Combine with Bouzakis' inconsistency, I think we have a roster battle brewing.
  19. Osmany Diversent. And I believe the ideal plan for ISU at 125 is for them to redshirt both Osmany and Meza and start Grice. But Grice still needs to win the spot. At least that's how I understood it from @H82Lose.
  20. Or it could be that RBY (who went to the same HS as Vega) is now training at OSU. And that DT and co are now there and he sees them as the staff who can help him achieve his goals better.
  21. Yea most people want the 17-18 year olds to be mature enough to choose the right school, and honor it. But don't hold the 20+ year olds to the same standard. It makes sense if you don't think about it.
  22. They wrestled twice in an 8 month period (March and Nov. of 2023) and SVN won 7-2 and 5-1. Hard to say they're equal.
