  1. Everyone belittled this post, but it aged like a fine wine. Sadly, it was spot on. Outside of 57 and possibly 86, I hope we get new reps everywhere. Never in my wildest dreams would I thought that I would be praising our Women over our Men.
  2. Any chance Dake leaves his shoes on the mat if he wins?
  3. He made a career off a blast double. I definitely would not call him a superior technician.
  4. The USA needs to back off Folk and get our big guys going straight to Free. Look at our Women. Elor is 20. All of us Americans had the biggest pair of Red, White, and Blue goggles on going into these Olympics for our Men. We have seen our true colors this year. We are officially behind 3 countries at least.
  5. That much was almost bs how they were doing everything to gift Yaz. I hate it he got hurt, but at what point do you credit the other guy? And the Bulgarian should've attacked the right arm. I'm sorry, this is for Gold. You do what it takes, legally, to win. Glad he did win.
  6. I disagree with this completely. Lopez winning Gold made him the best Wrestler in his weight, maybe not the best Wrestler overall even. No one on this board has ever stated he's the current P4P guy. Career though? Wow, obviously up there. But Phelps winning 6 Gold and 2 Bronze in 2004 showcased him as one of the best Olympians ever. His dominance in all facets is equal to a Wrestler competing in FS and GR. Is that against the rules? And then 2008 happened.... that is easily one of the highest achievements in Modern Sports History. He is all alone on a mountain with that record; 8 Golds and zero losses. I love Wrestling like all of us do obviously. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. 23 Gold Medals my friend. 23....
  7. Won't lie. Got emotional watching a true legend walk away. I'm honored to have watched one of the greats. He will be missed.
  8. I'm at work, but got Peacock app on standby....
  9. I don't know if anyone is getting realistic expectations of being a 4-time Champ. That is simply unrealistic. He will definitely contend. How would he do, right now, in 141 or 149?
  10. I guess it's my turn to play Devil's advocate. Personally, I don't see him as an ideal coach. His positioning was sound, and his defense was corollary to his superior athleticism. But what does he bring to the table from a technique standpoint? And true defensive skill? What was his go-to move? His guarantee shot setup? No ankle picks, Hi-C's, or blasts. He held center well, but that was more to his truly superior athleticism. FWIW, I hope he crushes it. After meeting him once, I knew I had just met an exceptional human being. So, theres, obviously no character flaws.
  11. I am not sure if I agree with this.
  12. Let's be real. Cael at PSU was the perfect storm. In today's Wrestling world, what he's doing is insane. How many schools have Blue Chip-prospects waiting on their turn? Legendary status for him.
  13. I'm intrigued of the PSU logjam. What if Cartet doesn't go 197? Does their 157 Champ, Haines, take his shirt? And if so, who goes there? What about Facundo? Lots of questions.
  14. Snyder was also an undersized 97kg Freestyle Wrestler giving up a loooot of weight. His loss to Coon was proof showing that he could be out-horsed if the man was big enough. Man, I wish we could've seen Steveson again in College or Freestyle.
  15. If Gwiz would've won, he may be getting the recognition. That was a great match. And by no means am I saying Gable isn't worthy, but it isn't clear as day IMO. Granted, he Majored a future Hodge like it was nothing. That, in itself, is extremely impressive. But, he is a 2xer. There are 3xers. Snyder is who I was thinking about in consideration.
  16. I question Gable personally. He got beat twice by another 1-time Champ in one season. No one denies his talent though.
  17. Many of us, including myself, consider Cael as the greatest Collegiate Wrestler. 159-0 pretty much speaks for itself. However, would you say he's the greatest 184 of all time? 197? I heard a discussion on ESPN this morning talking about the best at each position in the NFL respectively, and made me curious of the best of all time at each weight. I'm not stating the best individual season at each weight, but who was considered the best for a career at each. I guess one could look at individual seasons as well. Just curious of others opinions.
  18. I doubt it was Oklahoma State. I truly am curious as to who it was. Also, I'm curious of his skillset as a Head Coach. Like Burroughs, I don't see what he was able to do on the mats transferring to the mats as easily.
  19. Taz was born in Dagestan, and now he's a World Champion for Bahrain. You know that has to eat them up. Wasn't he trained at the Tank's Club growing up? I feel like I read that last year.
  20. Absolutely brother! All good on my end either way. Now if we could win 6 Golds....
  21. Dang, this would have definitely been a better conversation in person, without assumptions. My "Felicia " was definitely in regard to him no longer repping the RWB, not him not being a citizen. My apologies. Should've clarified. I have no problem with others supporting him financially; I was just clarifying why I would not. Looking back, I see how my messages could have been interpreted incorrectly. That one is on me brother. Appreciate you pointing that out.
  22. Those people were trash saying that to JB. As I've said previously, there's a big difference between him wearing his Nebraska singlet and his USA singlet. At OTTs, I was only wanting to see good wrestling. I was excited for whoever came out on top; not just the NLWC that you assume I'd only root for. As for RBY, I hope he wins Silver! As long as Lee is Gold. This doesn't make me a Xenophobe. It makes me one who supports my country. He technically is from my country, but took advantage of the system. Why do you choose to use names simply because I disagree with you? Not rooting for someone doesn't equate to dislike or prejudice.
  23. Haha. Negative. I just assumed. But I guess that's what I get for assuming.
  24. Do they not need a Coach to roll more so with the heavier classes?
