Won’t lie. I got emotional for him after his speech. Was tough to see and hear. Many of us fans, through all teams, have followed him for years. From his upset as a HS senior over AD, from leaving the state of Pennsylvania to become a Hawkeye, and to now becoming a World Champion.
He has done a lot for the sport; and for himself. My million dollar question; is it worth it anymore? Everyone takes off a singlet for the final time eventually? With his ACL blown again, is it worth it? Lord knows I’d love to see him set the shoes in the middle of the match in L.A. with a Gold around his neck, but the recovery has to be more and more challenging. Does he rest in 27 to go for 28? What’s our thoughts?
Even if he never wrestles again, what a career….
