I was hoping he'd get the 2 and 2. The FRL guys seemed kind of frustrated with Bouzakis' approach during the past two world stage events, suggesting he goes balls to the wall during all of his matches and ends up fading towards the later matches. I can see that as he was dead tired. Hopefully he finds a good balance and fixes this.
Anyone know what's up with the non-US competitors just laying there after they lose? Even with the refs yelling at them to get up, they just lay there like dead fish. Are we the weird ones for thinking this is embarrassing?
This has been a topic of discussion in the wrestling world for quite some time, so not sure where you've been. Like you said, a good deal are held back to get a competitive advantage in high school. A lot of people find it unfair.
I bet it does play a role in Iowa City. If you've ever been involved with our court system, past history, who you are, character, who you know, who your lawyer knows, etc. plays a major part in the sentencing.
Highly doubtful he does any jailtime for a first time offense OWI, he'll end up spending $10k on a lawyer and court fees and be fine. Expensive mistake.
I happened to come across a match from last year where they wrestled in freestyle and Ross tech'd Mocco. Not sure if the gap between them has remained the same or if Mocco has progressed significantly. Looking forward to watching their careers play out! From what I've heard, Ross is already getting D1 football offers, so not sure what route he takes.
Came across this video on YouTube today, and damn does this kid look impressive. Anybody in the know have a gauge on how good his competition was? Didn't give up a single point or have to go to the second period the entire tourney.
And yes he's Steve Mocco's son.
Never knew he wrestled him. Just watched the match and damn, he got absolutely worked. It looked like he wasn't trying and literally scored with ease every time he tried. Lets hope he can make some significant adjustments next time.
This forum is for discussing things like this. I didn't see anybody flipping out when there were much worse rumors of Mark Perry flying around or any other rumor. Calm tf down.
Same... He doesn't seem to understand that consent cannot be given when there's a power imbalance such as one that is blatantly apparent in a coach - athlete situation. I'm on board with you.
I was wondering if his issues were related to his injury... Sounds like it was. Hope he's able to heal up and get back on the path he was on in years past.
