  1. Just to illustrate how tough 65 is, all those names and you left out the reigning champ and (my) gold medal favorite.
  2. This thread is a beautiful microcosm of the hilariousness of social media.
  3. My daughter graduated college this past weekend. Very liberal college in downtown Detroit, right near Dearborn, etc. (if you know, you know). I was eyes wide open coming up to the weekend wondering what to expect. Not a sign, not a flag, not a protest, not a chant anywhere to be found. Really made me think about how much to believe what you see on your screens.....how much of it is real, and how much of it is significantly enhanced.
  4. The last lyric on the last track of The Wailers first album ‘Burnin’ sings “One fine morning, when my work is over, I will fly away home” On May 11, 1981, Bob Marley boarded a plane in Germany, doctors having told him there is nothing more they could do, and set flight to return to Jamaica. On the flight he was falling fast, and they had to make an emergency landing in Miami, where he passed. But he continued to Jamaica, eventually to Nine Mile where he was born, and now rests atop what is known as Mt. Zion……six feet ABOVE ground, because in his final testament to the struggle, he would not follow the traditions of Babylon and let them keep him under. One Love. Rastafar I
  5. Nice. F*%¥ it is right, buy the damn tickets!
  6. One good thing about music......when it hits you feel no pain.
  7. There have been a number of performances that leading up to was like........ehh, not too interested. Then they performed, and very well. Live music just hits different no matter what it is.
  8. A lot of people from the era still go to concerts, often, and he was/is very popular. He puts on a good show. (Although it’s been 25 years since I saw him)
  9. Thank you I appreciate the articles. The first one focused on use in adolescents, for which it is not and will not be legal for. This is definitely an issue, but a separate issue. The second article clearly states the opinions of experts are mixed. And the third article concluded with the higher potency there is a “slight” risk of dependency, there was weak evidence that it attributed to depression and anxiety, and no association between higher potency and a psychosis like condition. Just quoting the article. Interesring that none of the three articles speak to any of the proven benefits, drastically less side affects and addictions risks compared to many of the other medicines that are regularly prescribed, or quote any of the 1000’s of the doctors who tell their more severe patients that cannabis is the best thing they can do for themselves. I am well aware a quick Google search will lead to plenty of information. I have spent a whoooooole lot of time reading up on the subject. Which is why with all the information that is available I was interested in how you came to your opinion. Thanks again.
  10. Where are you seeing 90% thc? I see in the 30's pretty regular, but not higher than that. (I'm speaking the There are some in the 30's but it is far from the majority of what is available. Just like I'm sure in the 70's you could get some real dirt week (1.5), but that was not at all the norm. The pot is definitely better now, not just in potency but also under the scrutiny by which it is produced, but stating that range is the extreme, not the norm. Lastly, you said there are more problems today than in the past? Care to elaborate? I would argue with the access and the scrutiny of which it is produced and distributed, it has addressed a whole lot of problems, problems that people could not address as well in the past.
  11. I'm aware of this, have had to do the deed myself. But not the point of the question I was answering.
  12. He’s downstairs working through his 401k as we speak.
  13. Is there anyone claiming this other than the 'source' listed here? To those already deciding what the only question is ..... I would at least pause a minute.
  14. Love Billy Joel, but agree don't like the stadiums as much.
  15. There’s no price on living… ”Buy the tickets!”
  16. few things are better
  17. Truth is I much prefer a nice cut of grouper or mahi or snapper or shrimp or scallop, over brisket or pork butts. I just enjoy the process in smoking a good slab of meat. But tides change, things get different. Actually thinking about selling the whole package I have down there and significantly downsizing.
  18. Because seafood is meat too.
  19. I say you work in inequity......to achieve your vanity.
  20. One must play the card that one can basically do whatever one wants to do and any attempt at accountability for doing things one is not supposed to is then labled as bullying, harrassing, or even today in some cases, election interference.... But we don't want to focus on the wrong doing, we just want to focus on the reaction to the wrong doing. That would be how I explain 'victim card' in a general sense.
  21. Can't disagree. I just relate it to coping skills. Whether it's someone picking on you in school, not being able to find the perfect job, not being able to get a date, or accepting election results..........coping skills have depleted significantly throughout the country.
  22. Not for nothing, but the "they" in this scenario is.....she. She revisited it, and now people are talkiing about it. Then again if you're going to make a run at Trump's VP, you gotta be able to play victim cards,
