  1. I don't think that he is going to. I observed that he already did.
  2. I know he's running coward to the point that the only way he'll do another one, if he even will, is if Sean Hannity or Jesse Waters moderates, because he knows they are absolutely in his pocket. He's already said he wouldn't want Bair.
  3. Why is Trump so afraid to debate? Is he one of those big mouth tough guys, until he gets punched in the mouth, then runs and cowards, while crying and lying all the way? Yep, looks like it. Even his MAGA minions know he got his ass kicked. Speaking of boxing I believe it was Mike Tyson who said “everyone has a game plan, until you get punched in the face”.
  4. Remember, if you vote for him and they win it in ‘24….”you’ll never have to vote again”
  5. I guess if your theory was accurate, we wouldn’t see this kind of drop in real estate pricing over the last two years. Guess it must have more to do with individual decision instead…
  6. Or….because I put about 50k into it knowing I’m going to get 80-100 out. Again, my decisions and actions have a much greater impact on how I do than the president’s. I would think a so called self accountability man would be more in tune with that. I’m And let me guarantee you something, the immigrants around here are busting their ass but they’re not buying real estate. They’re renting. And they’re not renting vacation houses.
  7. So….a 25k for first time home buyers, and 6k credit for children would be a good thing right? Certainly incentive for starting family and buying a home, which is pretty important, right? I wouldn’t benefit one smidge from such a plan, but I could certainly get behind it.
  8. I guess I didn’t realize that Florida was not in this country; as well as not realizing the “president has a very direct impact on our well being” only counts if our well being is not so good. Interesting how that works. You get boring very quickly.
  9. I’m making more income that I was two years ago, my investments are better than they were two years ago, my rental is always full, my home is worth more than it was two years ago, even though we experienced a little post hurricane slide in the local market, and my community was ravaged two years ago but is coming back very very nicely, in large part due to the huge immigrant population around here who absolutely work their ass off. All this while my household lost half its income over the winter. Now, I’m only speaking for myself and my community, and I will only speak for myself and my community, because A) I don’t pretend to know everything about the country because Twitter told me so, and 2) because what actions are taken by me and within my community have a much greater impact than the stroke of a president’s pen.
  10. Here’s the quote from the Virginia governor in response to a question about how the proposed bill would play out (five years ago, before current administration was even in office, so not sure what it has to do about them unless we’re stretching) “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” Northam says in a videofrom the 2019 interview being shared online. “The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” And here is the literature in the proposed bill. Nothing at all in here about leaving a baby to die. But that’s the kind of thing that gets at people’s emotions and in an uproar, doesn’t matter that it’s not true, it serves its purpose: Abortion; eliminate certain requirements. Eliminates the requirement that an abortion in the second trimester of pregnancy and prior to the third trimester be performed in a hospital. The bill eliminates all the procedures and processes, including the performance of an ultrasound, required to effect a woman's informed written consent to the performance of an abortion; however, the bill does not change the requirement that a woman's informed written consent be first obtained. The bill eliminates the requirement that two other physicians certify that a third trimester abortion is necessary to prevent the woman's death or impairment of her mental or physical health, as well as the need to find that any such impairment to the woman's health would be substantial and irremediable. The bill also removes language classifying facilities that perform five or more first-trimester abortions per month as hospitals for the purpose of complying with regulations establishing minimum standards for hospitals.
  11. Yes, you left that out in your response. And we’ll agree to disagree.
  12. Which is why I said (and I knew someone would act like I didn’t, I’ve seen this movie before): “Does the president have an impact, of course” That is true, as is my second part of that statement.
  13. People only want self accountability when it appeases them, but when the opportunity to blame other arises…. Me, and just about every middle class friend I have, was in a little bit better situation with Bush than before, and then with Obama than before, and than with Trump than before, and even through the last couple years. The last two years my household fought cancer and the aftermath of a cat 5 hurricane that destroyed our home. Sure….my savings is depleted some from what it was two years ago, that’s what it was there for. But day to day, week to week, we’re doing fine over here. Does who the president is have an impact, of course. But it’s very minimal when compared to our own personal choices and actions.
  14. I made very clear where and how rights are infringed. If you disagree, or cannot comprehend what I am saying, it is not on me, nor do I have any interest, in going on and on talking in circles. I wrote three paragraphs, very clearly, and don’t really feel there is a need for me to expand. My comment is not a snide remark, it is an opinion that I’m not surprised you are not understanding what I am saying, or just deciding I didn’t make a point. I’m not trying to change your mind, I said what I said. I didn’t expect you to agree or see it my way, hence…..no surprise.
  15. Pretty entertaining seeing MAGA all up in arms this morning about thought of a presidential candidate telling lies. Obviously MAGA will not stand for or support anyone who lies The best damage control they can come up with today is “yes he is horrible but they are more horribler!! She lied!” and “nuclear war nuclear war!!!” Of course, when that is all that Lord Leader will say over and over again, what else do they have to parrot? Behind the scenes though: “Jesus Christ, look at what we got ourselves into” Watch for the fever to start to break a little heavier now…
  16. Couldn’t agree more
  17. He got his ass kicked, or maybe more accurate, he did his own best debate version of Jim Carey in Liar Liar, and kicked his own ass. Either way…. This race is over. Even more republicans are going to come out against him now. The’re going to want to do the same thing the Democrats did, but they can’t because they’re too far sunk in the bed. Bah bye.
  18. Should be entertaining. Any shot games going on??
  19. You are not required to roll down your window all the way. You are required to roll your window down enough to hand over your id (which he did without even being asked) and see in. Partially rolling down your window is compliance, that’s just simply a matter of law, not opinion. Now, SHOULD he have kept it rolled down all the way, yeah probably. But that’s not non compliant, that’s being stupid, which is not a crime. I went and found a video that had the transcript, in which you are correct the first officer does in fact say you know what get out of the car, get out of the car get out of the car. Each time Hill says okay I’m getting out. And being that as soon as the door opened his foot was reaching for the ground, yeah pretty easy to say he was getting out. I’m more than comfortable saying Hill was wrong here (again) but also more than comfortable saying the cop was wrong too. It appears not everyone is willing to see that.
  20. He had already re-rolled the window down, with the first officer looking at him, before the second officer came and said we’re not doing this, before that officer opened the door, before HIll started to step out of the car, which was before the officer grabbed him and face planted him on the ground. AGAIN…Hill was wrong in his attitude. No question about it. That doesn’t mean the second officer was right.
  21. Granted, “full weight” is an exaggeration, fair is fair. But I think it goes without saying that he has significantly less support from within the party than he did the first two times, particularly in 2020. I’d venture to say he has less support…from within his own party than any presidential candidate before, or maybe more fair to say has more from within the party endorsing and voting for the other party. As for what count she needs to get to to win….no idea. But I am fairly confident it’s not going to be as close as many believe. I don’t think he’s going to hit the number he did last time by a long shot. I believe there are a number of conservatives/republicans who are just simply not going to vote that line. They can’t bring themselves to vote for the democrat…but they’re tired and want to move past the Trump era.
  22. What I saw: The officer approaches and knocks on the window, Hill either is already rolling down the window or was already in the process, kind hard to tell from the angle but seems like the knock and window starting to come down at the same time (compliance). He rolls the window and hands the officer his license, and says “don’t knock on my window like that” a couple times. (No need for him to say that, was just a tap). Officer moves to the front of the windshield and hill rolls the window back up. Officer knocks a couple times again and tells him to keep window down. He rolls window down partially. (Compliance). Second officer comes in escalating the situation, says we’re not playing this game, get out the car now, and opens the door. As he opens the door Hill starts to step out of the car with his left leg (compliance)…after which (and that’s important since we’re claiming non compliance here)…officer grabs him at the back of head, and puts him face first on the ground (you can nitpick over whether or not he was “thrown” to the ground). Hill had an attitude in saying don’t knock on my window like that, he didn’t need to go there. However, that is not an arresting offense, telling a cop not to knock on your window like that, while not called for, is not a crime. Officers have an obligation and responsibility to deescalate situations like these, not escalate them. While having an attitude he did comply with their instructions. The second officer coming in completely escalated the situation and took it to a level it didn’t need to go. Both he and Hill are wrong here, but it may turn out to be that only one of them committed a crime. We shall see…
  23. And in return, it was an honest answer, complete with a statement made by one of the authors and close confidant. So again, one of the authors, who was also in his administration, makes a statement that he is in full support but needs to try to distance himself......is just anecdotal stuff that people are inferring. "Got it". Or maybe you just want to believe that he has nothing to do with it, because, dear leader cannot lie!! But the difference between me and a number of people on here, I'm not interested in trying to get anyone to believe a stranger on a message board, otherwise I could have provided any one of the number of links on this subject. I prefer people learn to dig information with an open mind. It's how we grow. You're right I have no idea where you get your information. But being you keep saying you can't find things that are more than readily available...well it certainly is interesting.
