  1. accurate. however it's also a product of the rules the coaches insulate themselves with, particularly in regards to seeding.
  2. you just hit GOAT status in my book
  3. . @BobDole we have a board violation

    Pitzer

Dayton was a monster on top in HS. never know if it's gonna translate to college but it's safe to say now it has. the thing about RS'ing him is that only 1 major guy (Parris) graduates. so it would be same field next year. the 'letting add weight' thing has total merit. but imo, you're sacrificing a chance at a Top 10 team finish for a Dayton Pitzer in 2027.
  5. national duals, in that iteration, was asinine. but keep crying about cael.
  6. 4 of the Top 10 ranked dual teams + #14 and #15 I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at. Would you rather not have the event (which is undoubtedly the best dual competition of the year) exist?
  7. "given the expectation level of the participating teams" that's a heck of a qualifier look at how utterly underwhelming some of the high seeds are. 25 of the 40 Top 4 seeds never AA'd. that's a far cry for the Midlands we know and love. i admit, i don't know what the solution is (and that i'll watch it regardless b/c i love wrestling), but man, i miss the great fields and head-to-heads
  8. Whistle Pig is so good. I never had the 15yr though
  9. John is not the one that makes that happen. Mark Perry, Sr. is.
  10. full time for undergrads is 12 credits. full time if you're a grad student-athlete is 6 credits. the kicker is, when you're in your final semester of eligibility you really don't have to do anything at all. enroll in the necessary credits and it doesn't matter if you get all zeroes b/c you're not ineligible until semester is over and the grades are in - which you don't care about b/c you're done.
  11. i don't mean to be radical, but i feel like in many ways the typical characteristics of 'D's and 'R's have 'flipped' in the last few years alone. this is one of them (and maybe the biggest/most obvious)
  12. • The prevailing word is that John is done at the end of the season. There was a lot of speculation that he was waiting for Tulsa's NCAAs before retiring. Of course there were a lot of other theories over the years. But right now, all indications are that he's done at the end of the year. • The advent/development of the portal is not a deterrent to the OK State job; it's an asset. OKST will be hunters for transfers, not the hunted.
  13. if you think 141 is tough then who am i to tell you differently. but imo i think it's one of the worst weights in quite a while. i'm not gonna do the work, but i think you'd have a hard time finding a weight class where the top returner was 5th. and to add to that, there isn't depth. who do we think is elite here?
  14. i think 125 is pretty bad. 141 as well. 125 does have a lot of former AA's. but their consistency leaves a lot to be desired. 141 has 3 former AA's, but they were 5/6/7 and don't exactly light the world on fire.
  15. it's a long way off but the plan is for Pinto to go 174 next year. early word i'm hearing for Haas is Cal Baptist or Purdue.
  16. 1) i think you have to have missed two years due to injury to receive 1 year for a medical. in other words, if you get injured as a true frosh you ain't getting a medical. (although, actually...they could, down the road, fake another injury) 2) Demetrius Romero has to be up there 3) this abomination
  17. This may be easier to read than tournaflex https://rokfin.com/article/11538/2022-Collegiate-Duals-Day-One-Results-Updated-After-Each-Round
  18. although more difficult, i don't think Redding over Cornella is out of the realm of possibility.
