You guys think George Mitchell (D who confirmed Thomas) is a fool or a saint? I think he was a normal guy and running confirmation hearings was his duty. I think the duty of the Senate Majority Leader now is to pack the court at levels. I don't think Schumer is getting it done.

I am unable to imagine a scenario in which the contemporary GOP wouldn't pack the court at first opportunity. Therefore, the Democrats are obligated to pack the court if and when the opportunity presents itself.

Nothing to admit. I said McConnell packed the court. He did so without confirming additional justices. I also said I want democrats to pack the court. That means they need to add justices. There are no inconsistencies.

Definition of court packing is about composition more than number. The point is to control the outcome of decisions. Clarence Thomas was appointed by Bush and confirmed by a Democrat majority Senate. Mitchell, the Senate majority leader at that time was a rube, correct? Clinton won in 92 and he was still majority leader. My hope is Chuck Schumer goes out to pasture. However, if an opportunity arises to pack the court I don't expect it to happen, I demand it.
