  1. Oil prices are a problem for consumers if the price is too high and a problem for producers if too low. That is global, because it is a global market. e.g. US producers won't charge US consumers less than they could get from export.
  2. Let's do an experiment. Put a penny in a jar every time Trump is indicted. Hereafter, take one out every time a different president or former president is indicted. How many centuries until the jar is empty?
  3. Nobody is actually reading the article.
  4. I don't think it is lazy at all. Lazy is ignoring problems or pretending there are easy solutions to it. Where do you expect homeless to go and where did they come from? No cash bail is a whole different kettle of fish. The open drug markets are eye popping for sure, very sad. Also closely correlated with the homeless, so a difficult problem to solve.
  5. Rich cities are not shitholes. Parts are, not denying that. Further, they could be governed better. Some policies are awful to be sure. Some policies are maligned without thought as to why they exist or what the consequence would be if they didn't exist, classic arm chair quarterbacking.
  6. It is huge, so it is a natural target.
  7. Socialism is not all bad. Real estate is classic socialism in every way and it works. What resources then? Industries grew in California and brought money, sure. But my point stands that the huge swath of mismanaged red states are not at the bottom of metrics because of resources. They have enough to be middle of the pack! I do say hundreds of years of bad governance. As far as the blue cities go - there is good, bad and ugly everywhere. For example, NYC is beautiful and full of opportunities, but has a down side for sure. Some parts are disturbing. That is the nature of 8 million people in a few square miles.
  8. I feel like this part where I post unflattering pictures of Appalachia or some other red area. Or maybe pictures of Malibu or Yosemite to show a different view of California. That would be pointless.
  9. What is socialism? I don't see Bob's name. Do you honestly think MS or KY has fewer natural resources than VT or NE? It has nothing to do with resources. It is about bad hundreds of years of bad governance. California has plenty of problems, no doubt. They are easy to pick on because they are the most populace and high income. If you want critics - be successful. They certainly are better off by almost any meaningful measure than the red belt south.
  10. So you skip the taxation part and only mention the spending. Playing fast and loose with dictionary. How is it "aid" to Connecticut or even California when they send to DC about what they receive? Who takes responsibility for the income in MS? Dems?
  11. It is a non story because the info has been reported from other sources, which is what the reporter is actually annoyed about. As far as why Prince Andrew and whoever else hasn't been charged, insufficient evidence I suppose. I can't imagine Maxwell would roll over and accept the equivalent of a life sentence if she has the dirt on bigger fish.
  12. Blocking what exactly? That no story ran?
  13. That is how ridiculous this conversation is.
  14. Sounds like we better get busy.
  15. Resources? C'mon now. Others do more with much less. Call 'em out, don't just criticize the liberals. Only a fool will say the governments of states consistently at the bottom of metrics measuring success have served their citizens well. California is not one of those, BTW. Wealthy cities in California look like zombie land because by comparison to many other locales, California weather and city policies are generally favorable to the homeless. This is a a national problem, not a California problem.
  16. Agree CA is mismanaged and given the numbers, what adjective(s) do you have for KY and MS?
  17. No , but that Nazi Mother F**** Zelinnsky is!!!
  18. Trump is gonna be on the ballot, be it as a Republican or his own party. Exception: he is in prison.
  19. Also - and to be fair, accurate and complete - Biden annihilated Trump in popular votes and whatever those other things are. In fact, a greater margin of victory than at any point in history. MAGA wants a rematch to get some more of that smoke. LOL.
  20. 1.2 million? Future not looking good for MAGA. https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/mar/22/democrats-more-educated-republicans-pew-research-c/
