Yes, but the technology that makes fracturing so productive is directional drilling. Fracturing has been around since about 1930. Instead of drilling down to the zone and fracking from there, they can now turn and drill through the zone, fracking that entire distance. They changed it when the data came back that showed the temperature hadn’t gone up. Even though the record shows fewer and weaker hurricanes and tornadoes, every one is now evidence of climate change.
