  1. 7-3 Bartlett over Olivieri, as time expires with Bartlett hunting one last takedown.
  2. Is it a full moon tonight? Bartlett has been the highest scoring of the first six wrestlers we've seen tonight (all of them ranked)
  3. I find myself increasingly rooting for UNI. Hard working, overlooked, underrated, gritty, etc.
  4. Davis wins 2-1 over Shawver
  5. I would think you'd pepper him with shots and work the home crowd to get another stalling call? I guess he just wants to pick his spot
  6. Davis needs to hide his negative expressions a little better lol!
  7. Dean Peterson with the clutch takedown to defeat Lilledahl 4-1. Now Shawver vs Davis
  8. Now Wolverines have two in a row that they should win. They've been really hit by injuries (and graduations)
  9. Parco (before he left for Iowa), Michael McGee come to mind. Both had to leave from program closure. + Bubba Jenkins
  10. It's not based on much. I like the team and staff that UNI has - they seem to keep developing guys. Hard working, overachieving type team. For Realbuto, that Young loss was his worst of the year. He has a couple of decent wins (pinning Vasquez probably his best so far this year), with closes losses to All Americans Lovett, McNeil, and Abas. No worries about the bet.
  11. That is a pretty good piece of a supporting evidence in your favor... If you click your own profile icon, then click account settings, there is a tab for signature on the left. I have not yet used it.
  12. This is part of what's wrong in my opinion: the incentivization structure is broken. Shouldn't a state school have some part of its mission to serve its local constituents who fund the place through taxes?
  13. I would take Realbuto head to head against Young - if you're looking for a friendly non-monetary wager (avatar or signature)
  14. I also felt a bit annoyed by some of what I felt were unnecessary inaccuracies. Why act like he was a finalist the year before? He wasn't. And it didn't add much to the story for me. But after reading the other posts sharing how common this is in movies combined with my own lack of cinematic expertise... I'll step back from the soapbox. It was awesome they could honor an incredible underdog college wrestling story with such a star studded cast.
  15. for real though, it's awesome for football and basketball players
  16. It will allow one last batch of college wrestlers to receive Dodge Rams, and all you can eat Dave's Chicken, as the sport itself fades into obscurity
  17. Not that we're particularly close to the mark now, but at this rate, we might need to start considering the medium-term fate of the sport (not even long term, but sooner). I believe if we don't have a minimum of 40 teams, the sport would no longer qualify to be a D1 NCAA sport.
  18. Colleges are being advised by management consultants who share a similar background and philosophy as their private equity friends: 1) Identify core revenue sources 2) Strip away everything else 3) Lever up
  19. bad news for Pinto
  20. Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear about Greg D. Hope he heals up and gives it another go next year. Ungar could make some noise in a wide open 125
  21. Both semi final games were fantastic. I'm about to turn this off because it's clearly already over. Texas was a much better team than Notre Dame it seems
  22. Is Greg Diakomihalis out for the season or is he just out temporarily? He hasn't wrestled a match since November 24th. Brett Ungar hasn't wrestled since December 6th. Is he coming back? Staying 33 or going back down? In their absence, Milani and Ferrera have done very well. So maybe they are taking their time getting back to form, knowing that the team will not suffer in the meantime. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the plan.
  23. DeSanto improved a lot with them I thought
