  1. DeSanto improved a lot with them I thought
  2. I agree with your last sentence for sure. I just have my doubts about how the reversal was downgraded. Maybe takedowns can be 4, reversals 3, and escapes 1. but reversal needs more recognition and incentivization in the current method. From a difficulty of position standpoint, I always thought a reversal should be worth an escape plus a takedown because you are going from a position of disadvantage to a position of advantage. I've moved away from feeling too passionate about it being more than a takedown, but it needs to be well more than an escape in my view. I'm open minded as to how that could be captured in the point system
  3. which team do you think is most likely to take second in nationals this year duke?
  4. I know that's how it is for high school and lower. but in college folkstyle, they're awarding points for just stalling on top for a minute more than the other guy can. plus you can get all types of back points. escaping means you lose the vulnerability of being on bottom (in my idea)
  5. I'd like escape to be worth nothing and keep reversal at 2 and takedown at 3.
  6. no offensive points against anyway.
  7. Looking forward to the next match, it seems like a 95% chance that Mesenbrink wins by a technical fall, and that the only points Wilson scores will be via escape (from release). If he's lucky maybe he'll get a reversal, and then allow Mesenbrink to escape for the same effect. Mesenbrink is a maniac, but more of a tech fall guy than a pinner. In fact all of his results so far this year have been tech falls without letting up a non-escape point
  8. Lovett repping the Swiss flag on his socks?
  9. Dual starting at 174 he says!
  10. Malik Amine doing pretty well as a commentator here
  11. Caleb Smith and Jacob Van Dee
  12. The clarifying point at the end makes sense to me. Many of these wins are in the distant past.
  13. Are you implying that someone has to have beaten all of the guys before you can predict that they might be able to? The list above speaks for itself. AJ Ferrari lost to Noah Adams who never placed at nationals.
  14. Something is up. This is not like this team from what I have seen.
  15. he has wins over: Jacob Warner Yonger Bastida Marcus Coleman Michael Beard Jaxon Smith Mac Stout Taylor Venz Cam Caffey So even though this match was lopsided, it's not the most far out there statement.
  16. Totally different though right? Doesn't Spindrift contain actual fruit juice?
  17. Total lack of urgency from the Illini tonight
