  1. If Pinto goes to Rutgers like Willy predicts, then they will have five wrestlers and two coaches from district eleven. Ayden Smith (NDGP) Brandan Chletsos (NDGP) Tahir Parkins (Nazareth) Dagen Condomitti (Northampton) Lenny Pinto (Stroudsburg) Steve Mytych (Northampton) Mikey Labriola (Becahi)
  2. Parker is a returning bloodround guy who happens to be someone that Kish brought with him from ND State. So I dont see him being replaced. Maybe Parker bumps up to 197 and Bradley Hill steps back from the starting lineup? Few different possibilities I suppose.
  3. Brian Soldano to Oklahoma? He must be moving down to 174 or taking a redshirt this year while Parker completes his senior year
  4. Blake Boarman from Chattanooga in the portal. Whispers of him possibly becoming a Hoosier (he's from Indiana)
  5. So Sacred Heart opted in? And will be cutting 13 students who were previously paying close to full tuition? odd
  6. if you wouldn't mind educating me what would that mean? allowance for larger roster with less revenue sharing? I honestly have no clue
  7. Wrestling was more than just a sport to me—it was the bedrock of who I became. It gave me the mental and physical strength to face life’s challenges, to push through, and to carve out my place in the world. Without it, I might not have the same resilience, the same drive, or the same ability to handle adversity. It was a key part of my identity, and that’s something powerful to recognize.
  8. Facundo seems to have a bigger frame (and Lockett the higher ceiling) but otherwise not sure. Lockett is really good though. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he were to defeat Mesenbrink at some point
  9. even before NIL - I remember seeing a documentary about 90s college football players and there were several of them that got sent through - graduating college - and into the NFL - without even being able to read at an elementary school level.
  10. not to mention the housing and transportation costs in the table are estimates for the average student. if they are being provided housing that the school already owns and cars that boosters are willing to supply, and those things happen to be fancy condos and souped up pickup trucks, then the soft dollar amount of the transaction increases significantly. The actual amount of cash transacted here is likely to be less than half of what is being stated.
  11. Add Missouri and NC State as teams that do not typically tap into the portal, but consistently put out a great team
  12. Wow he looked like a large 125 that struggled to stay healthy. 133 will be fun to see if hes able to let it fly a bit more.
  13. Odd - any idea of where he would land?
  14. I bet that these figures floating around are most likely inclusive of tuition, housing, use of cars from some local dealership, etc. Tuition, room, and board for out of state at Iowa is just about 50K.
  15. Grant McKay from Pitt to Gannon (Gannon already has had several former D1 wrestlers on their squad)
  16. 2nd: 44/48 3rd: 48 4th: 52 5th: 58 6th: 64 7th: 70 8th: 80 9th: 103 10th: 103 11th: 112 12th: 125 College Club: 133
  17. I had not seen these before, but apparently he's been in the portal since Octorber: Diego Sotelo from Harvard could be a great pickup for someone. I'm gonna throw out Illinois because he's from there and it's an excellent school. Any other thoughts?
  18. Yes that's a great point. Those that may not make the cut at the power five schools can most likely find another home. It's a nice start to the weekend for the Phillies to beat the Dodgers and for this misunderstanding of my to have been resolved.
  19. If that's the case (which I don't doubt despite your username) then this entire thread has been created on the basis of a false premise. And for that I apologize.
  20. Part of me worries that for some of the smaller programs, a larger roster (where most did not have scholarships) could be seen as a positive for school revenue. capping off like these could make it more difficult for smaller programs like Sacred Heart (who has always held a large roster) to stay viable. I worry about the impact of then schools closing programs because of worse funding situations when we are already up against it in that regard.
