  1. I share your disappointment brother. I thought they had such a fun team a few years back with Gomez and Hamiti in particular. Someone is truly asleep at the wheel over there
  2. Few folks on X have given great insights. Many times the AD of these small schools is looking to move to a bigger conference and so needs to serve football and basketball first
  3. but they said that scholarship athletes will not be able to compete (and so in effect going from 9 to zero as I said in the other thread I started)
  4. Cutting from 9 to 3 scholarships, but the worst part of all is: They will not allow any wrestler that is on scholarship to compete. In essence going from 9 to zero scholarships for their actual wrestlers.
  5. just a guess, but maybe they will be added for second semester?
  6. Wrestlestat showing Daniel Cardenas on redshirt. No clue why. That was news to me unless it was an error. other redshirts who are not freshman by weightclass as projected right now by WS: 125: Tyler Klinsky (Rider) Joey Fischer (Clarion) 133: Luke Stanich (Lehigh), Aaron Nagao (Penn State), Max Leete (American), Cody Phelps (Michigan State) 141: Tom Crook (Virginia Tech), Pat Phillips (Franklin & Marshall), Raymond Lopez (American) 149: Casey Swiderski (Iowa State), Caleb Tyus (Southern Illinois Edwardsville) 157: Daniel Cardenas (Stanford), Cody Chittum (Iowa State) 165: Caleb Fish (Oklahoma State), Chris Moore (Illinois), Sloan Swan (Wyoming), Jake Slotnick (Hofstra), AJ Rodriguez (Maryland) 174: Brayden Thompson (Oklahoma State) 184: James Conway (Franklin & Marshall) 197: Justin Rademacher (Oregon State) 285: David Szuba (Rider)
  7. they had several of their best wrestlers last year on medical or olympic redshirt. they will be fierce this year. Thanks for the incredible breakdown @ILLINIWrestlingBlog. This is the stuff that makes wrestling forums worthwhile
  8. Maybe then 165 through 197 could look like this: McClane, Ruiz, Fayzullaev, Valencia.
  9. 125: Figueroa 133: Chlebove 141: Ysaguirre 149: Vasquez 157: Larkin 165: Ruiz 174: Valencia 184: Fayzullaev 197: Acciardi 285: Schultz
  10. I had three severe grade three concussions in the span of a single year. I'm not sure if it was that, or the lead paint in the walls of my room, but I think my personality was forever changed after that. Concussion is a good reason for a break. As a devils advocate, it would be something that might be easy to fake for a medical forfeit if needed
  11. I can empathize with your situation. I used to be a die hard 76ers fan but have had a hard time stomaching them after their star refuses to get in good shape for the season, and when they lose in the playoffs, he blames other teammates, calling them out by name. I won't root for them until Joel Embiid is gone
  12. Thanks for the updates @nhs67
  13. 125: Richard Figueroa 133: Lucas Byrd 141: Andrew Alirez 149: Ty Watters 157: Tyler Kasak 165: Mitchell Mesenbrink 174: Keegan O'Toole 184: Parker Keckeisen 197: Stephen Little 285: Wyatt Hendrickson
  14. This can be a catch-all thread for random thoughts. I heard a funny quote today that made me LOL: "The Western World is run by the mediocre children of accomplished people"
  15. I think I have the last three years, although in different formats. I need to come up for air from some things that people are expecting from me and I will package it together.
  16. I am sorry to be a duck, but I have only a couple years of transfer data and none of it is actually linked to results
  17. In any event, Howard is no longer on the roster
  18. I'll take Keckeisen over Starocci.
  19. I guessed 177/184 but I it was just a hunch - probably wrong
  20. gotta be. none of these others have that level of rivalry
  21. I would favor Crookham in folkstyle right now
