  1. Al Gore invented the internet? Yes, nothing says "I won" more than bringing up that timely reference that's not at all unrelated to the subject at hand! I'm not sure how I took the L here by telling you I DIDN'T care about Greco any longer...and then you posting about who you apparently think is the sexiest Greco Wrestler, but sure. It's an L. Seriously though...it's great your proud of your kids. I mean, I personally probably wouldn't run my mouth about "real Wrestling," if I was wee-man and never actually Wrestled...but hey, you do you..."boo."
  2. Huh...I gotta get TF off Twitter. I'm finding out about things that...I don't need to know about and that's crossing over into other area's. Sometimes I guess a zoo...is just a zoo!
  3. Yup. Sit down, drink my smoothie and see what's going on. Usually starting by checking the three notifications I've got from you about what Greco Wrestler you think looks the best. Laugh, mock...then when I feel like it, go for the workout. Unless I'm running behind...then I just wait for your asshattery until it's more convenient.
  4. I'm pretty sure he's saying this in response to the A in AWA saying Wrestler's don't get better under Bono after Hamiti lost to Carr earlier this year 7-5. So you kinda need that context otherwise it comes off...no offense Ivan, but kinda(totally) ridiculous.
  5. Ahh...you're so cute You think YOU'RE the reason I wake up when I do!
  6. Branch...8-9 going in. https://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/PortalPost.jsp?postId=866421135 Pretty good read IMO. A lot of self awareness kids don't always have.
  7. 11 minutes later and he replies....in the thread he started! Yup...I'm following YOU
  8. That's funny, I don't look at Lee and think of him as one of the best technical Wrestlers of our era. One of the best obviously, but not this incredible technician. More like just a physically dominant wrestler. Not quite like his coach, but a little more in the build of his coach than a Cael like technician. Either way, however he gets there, he's undeniable.
  9. Yes...but the "I suspect I'm right," video was definitive proof!
  10. Follower? I didn't start a whole new thread and @ LJB...
  11. LOL...oh shit man, I am! I get to ride any Rollercoster I want and life's pretty good!
  12. Wait...what does this mean "his zoo operation?" I'd assume it was a joke, but I'm just finding out that there are these things called "zoophilia." I found out because I did not believe someone on the subject and they started tagging me in posts that...I cannot ever delete as they are stamped on my brain and the inside of my eyelids.
  13. I suppose if you only Wrestled one year and you got thrown in vs some studs, that'd be a good way to run a guy off the team. I just have so much respect for guys who started late, stuck with it and grounded it out and helped us with a conference title or could stay off their back at team State. I had a teammate...started in 8th grade. He was about 180, I was 160 in 7th grade. He just loved it. He wrestled on the Middle School team and I did for the 2nd half of the year as well. Just to hang out with my friends and not take it as seriously. This guy was the type of guy who when we'd play handball in Gym class...with those REAL handballs, those hard leather balls. He loved being the goalie and would happily take 'em off the dome! But he wasn't real coordinated and I think he did get pinned or lose JUST about every match very badly. But he loved it. The next year he's asking me about Northern Plains and Freestyle and Greco State. So after the HS season was done, he came with us. He was...well, he was competing with guys who had more experience. He was strong, but...I don't believe he won a match. He was 0-2 in in both "off-season" State Tourney's, whatever it was. Anything he could get in, he did. I think he MIGHT have won a couple matches at smaller tournaments, but I also played Baseball, so I couldn't go to a lot of those. Things went much better for him on JV his Freshmen and Soph years...but he was still closer to .500. But he persisted. By his Sr year he was a starter and in the Regionals, he got a pin in the finals to lock it up for us and our entire team went nuts. Fell short of qualifying for State, but by now, he was close. Just had 2 guys who placed and he couldn't break through. I had more respect for him than just about anyone on our team. This sport can grind you down quickly...which is why I'd imagine there are a lot of guys who quit that 1st year, but he just NEVER gave up. I know this thread is supposed to be about posters on this thread, but guys who stick it out and keep working...I don't care if they didn't have impressive accomplishments, THAT is the impressive accomplishment IMO.
  14. Oh...it's ALL becoming so much clearer! The "Real Wrestling," vs "Women's Wrestling," and the tough talk. Just...putting all the pieces together.
  15. You even sound like a guy who never Wrestled! Claiming victory without having the balls to get onto the mat! Glorified Soccer Mom talking tough...sorry, I just can't help but laugh. You literally exposed nothing. You rambled on about how good looking you think a Greco Roman Wrestler is...which is especially weird given your first point for why that's "real Wrestling" but the rest isn't is the origin...and again, we know that's oiling up and Wrestling Naked. Really...you babbled on about Greco guys. And I said I didn't care? LMFAO...alright Soccer Mom!
  16. https://harrysuke.wordpress.com/2015/11/16/greco-roman-vs-freestyle-wrestling/ Oh, and to answer your question, as they say in here, well over half the TDs are Single and Doubles. The vast majority of the rest come from throws that...ALMOST always involve stepping in and trippng...as one done in "not real Wrestling." Which...I guess means that Women's Wrestling is not "real." That's...kinda sexist!
  17. Please reference where I said being undefeated was the standard big guy? You seem a bit slow. The POINT I was making is that Sonnen...he's funny, he talks a good game about having never lost a match and it's a nice little joke, but in reality...he was a guy known for what? Having some good losses. 49-31. 29-15-1 in UFC. Kinda just a guy without his mouth(which...good for him dude was clever as shit). It IS more impressive than his Wrestling career. 2 Silver's in the PAC-12's. Silver Medal in the University World Championships the year he took an Olympic RS and was the 3rd rated Greco in the US. Follows that up with an 0-2 barbecue to two...mediocre Wrestlers(to be generous) in the next NCAAs. Remind me again how well Greco guys do at the NCAAs? So no, the point was never that you had to be undefeated. It was the preponderance of evidence that Chael...while right that Greco guys ARE the inferior athlete, they're not DOING better in MMA...though to be fair, he said he had a "theory" that they did better...so I guess he never actually states it. A couple guys in the early years had success...the sport has been dominated by those Wrestling "Women's Style," or the "not real Wrestling," since then.
  18. The "UNDEFEATED" Chael Sonnen thinks so? I do like how he qualifies it with the "Greco Roman was viewed as the 2nd tier athlete. We'd push back, but yeah, in my heart, that's exactly what it was." Then he goes on to explain...he went into Greco because he knew he couldn't hack it in Freestyle. I do love how his BEST example is a...Brock Lesnar fight! He's got a nice little theory...there's just one GIANT problem with it. How many guys who wrestled at that level just...never Wrestled Greco? Never Wrestled ANY Greco? Maybe that's a lot now. As I've said, you used to Wrestle Greco to improve the superior style of Wrestling. "Greco is best to teach you how to NOT get thrown." -Former HOF Coach. Same guy who hooked me up with a few of the best Greco Wrestlers who...couldn't hack it in College. How many of the guys who've dominated in the last 10 years from the Wrestling world have been Greco guys vs Freestyle guys? Johnny Hendricks, Cejudo..Khabib certainly comes from a Wrestling background. Certainly not a Greco one. So it's a nice theory from the guy who(I guess along with Khabib) left the sport having NEVER lost a single round or fight(despite...15, 17 losses, whatever it was)...but it kinda fails under further examination. But, as he says, it's a theory. One that I think fails any much scrutiny.
  19. Caveat, rule, it was always gonna screw someone. They just got screwed more than most. Especially those two. 1/2/21 and 1/1/2/1 are two guys who are goats. Not Hall is "just" a one time champ and Joseph in the long list of 2X Champs.
  20. Right...but THEY'RE last year was the 2019-2020 season. So then...that's not applicable to them, is it? They competed in four FULL seasons. I can't help you any more here. I just can't. It's like me trying to explain to LBJ I don't care about Greco. Their seasons were cut short. They got the raw end of the deal. So...now I'm done because I've given you the answer numerous times and you don't believe me and I don't really care at this point? Believe they had eligibility or that they didn't. Makes no difference to me. Strange they wouldn't have come back for NIL money and to win another NCAA Title, but I guess they just didn't care enough
  21. Yeah...what old boy who never wrestled here doesn't get...it's a whole helluva lot harder to toss someone...IF THEY CAN TOUCH YOUR ***duck duck goose** LEGS! LOL...you ever go watch Wrestling with someone and they have no real idea? It's kinda like a FB fan. Even if you played in HS, you don't understand the actual speed of the game. So you sit there and talk about how easy if they just...ya know, TRIED the "manly" style! It's funny. The best in the sport NOW are all Freestyle guys or "leg grabbers." Why wounldn't MMA be dominated by Greco dudes if it were just SO easy? Why doesn't dad throw them in there? I mean, it's SOOO easy and while these inferior...not really worthy styles of Wrestling are dominating, you'd think Cejudo, Johnny Hendo, Wood, Chael(and SOOO many more) would have been Greco guys?
  22. Ok....well, that shows me nothing and I don't really care, this isn't about Sheets, it's about Hall and Joseph and they just DID NOT leave eligibility on the table. (Ok, you initially posted a table that had nothing in it...like Excel without any entries)...just for context. Do you understand 2020 was counted as a year toward your eligibility? If so, that was their FOUR year(both of them). So what good would a RS year have done for Hall? He could be a 5th year RS with zero eligibility remaining? I don't know what's up with Sheets. My GUESS looking at his career and how he never wrestled for Okie State the first two years, maybe he wasn't enrolled in 17. Then 18=RS year. '19-1 year '20-2 year '21-3 year '22-3 year '23-4 year I don't know. But I'm positive about the PSU guys(and...the B1G guys in particular).
  23. Yeah...it does jive. As you said, he redshirted the first year. So now he gets 2021(free) 2022...and I don't know why the hell he's Wrestling now...I'd guess Medical RS, but it has nothing to do with Hall or Joseph. They weren't given a free year for 2020. There was no free year until 2021. So they'd wrestled and completed FOUR years...and that was all you got until this little Covid thing where they inexplicably gave guys the NEXT year a free year. You're going to be able to point out how others got 5 shots at NCAAs and some guys wrestled until they were eligible for Medicare. Doesn't matter. They were both pre-covid and they both used up all 4 years. Really...trust me or wait until someone else jumps in, but they didn't leave eligibility on the table. They both exhausted it. Both had 4 full years...per the NCAA. Which sucks, but it jives.
