Feel for Spencer Lee when threads like this get made. Washed up? He hasn't even turned 30! But because we have heard the name for so long and associated it with "dominance," then anything less begs the question of if he's still got it. I think he does. He's taken losses to plenty of other elite wrestlers over the years. Nothing new. He won an Olympic Silver less than 2 years ago.

Facundo, definitely. Swiderski I kind of always expected to finish in that 7/8 range, even after he took out McNeil. I remember right after that, nobody really expected him to finish out the season. Is it really fair to judge Ryder's performance when he wasn't even half as healthy as he was 6 months ago?

Was Shawver a highly touted recruit out of high school? I thought he was more along the lines of a mid-level guy who jumped levels over his career. It was great to get him on the podium, and even his Blood Round run in Philly was impressive. Whatever happened this season is a huge question mark to the fanbase. Olivieri I sort of feel for. Had to burn his redshirt twice when he wasn't ready because Sammy Alvarez had weight cutting issues. Then just never puts it together at nationals. Such a shame... RU's downfall is pretty disheartening as a fan. With Goodale's contract going through 2032, I just don't foresee the future looking bright. Think Knox is gonna use the year here to bolster his resume, show he's a good egg and whatnot, then leave for greener pastures. Sigh...
