As a Pokes fan it's interesting to hear y'alls perspectives. We're all curious what the future holds, too. John has certainly admitted that he has only recently accepted changes in the sport. And he's certainly too stubborn to leave the program worse than he found it. A lot rides on this season but with this being year #1 or #2 of John being okay with NIL/RTC/portal/etc it might take a few more years to see the future of OSU Wrestling.
Laramie WY has to be a tough place to keep anything going. 31k people, sparsely populated state, extreme weather in all seasons... as a Pokes fan I want Mark Branch to do well but its not exactly a destination university.
Like seeing the Pokes get after it. Last few years have been weird for them. Also they should always wear orange singlets… black and white singlets just don’t feel like Cowboy Wrestling in the same way.
5 freshmen in the Pokes lineup tonight.
Lol I’m not playing the “convince me I’m wrong” game. But I have seen him warned by refs several times to stop doing illegal/dangerous moves since he left Iowa.
18 yr old kid matured over 4 years to become slightly less of a temper tantrum throwing maniac? Yeah sorry he still tries to injure his opponents with blatantly illegal moves at the senior level. Low dang bar but ok.
Same.
David Taylor will be good once he slows down a bit. DT gets in these moods where he does not stop talking AT ALL and it gets distracting. But I do believe that commentating is a harder job than it appears.
I enjoyed this tally from the OSU Rivals board (34 and counting). Kind of expected given the competition and the sheer number of athletes we sent but I'm glad they delivered
MD -20
TF -32
Fall -33
Ha I can definitely see that being helpful. More resourceful in every day life, more resourceful on the mat.
What's the all the cost of living talk about? Still drilling into the why Coleman Scott went to Stillwater to coach?
