    I think for legal reasons, it is probably a good idea to have coaches in the corners. Everyone is open to liability if there isn't an adult in the appropriate place. As a ref, I will not start a match if both athletes are not represented by an adult coach. A coach, not a fellow wrestler, not the girlfriend, not mom- an actual coach.

    Good one! lol I will say that I think we now know there was more going on physically with Spencer than we knew at the time. And it appears af if Drake and Spencer mended fences, as he brought Drake to Paris.

    Murin was coaching at Brown. Cass at Wisconsin. Bunch of club coaches. The fact that guys are staying in the sport reflects positively on the brothers.

    I wouldn't expect him to leave Stanford without a degree, but if he did I could see him at the school with the extremely ugly sky blue two piece singlets that is currently wrestling at the Soldier Salute. (How could anyone think that switching to a two piece as ugly as Carolina's is going to "save wrestling, " I will never understand.)

    You missed the point. You claimed Iowa would never go outside the Gable tree. Most would have said something similar about OSU a year ago. (so far, this looks like a great move, but no one saw it coming in 2023. It was Perry or Scott or Pendleton or Branch)

    Also interesting: I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure Cornell has never had a "heavyweight" on the podium at nationals. This pickup could change that within a few years.
