  1. The Ivies were still technically in the EIWA in 2021, so the EIWA got those spots. That was the rationale given at the time. Now the Ivies have formed their own qualifier, so they will get the spots based on the formula.
  2. Kid I was around when he was growing up (wrestler/football) is in his third NFL year, mostly practice squads. Making at least $250,000 for about a half year of work and should be getting a little bit of a pension. When his NFL career is over, he has a degree from a great academic institution. Not a bad way to start your post-academic career.
  3. Did they try his witch doctor? Dude fixed Gilman's fracture.
  4. Runs in the family...
  5. Interesting. I was just told by a coach/parent of a D1 prospect, tnat cross country was being limited to ten spots. This seems to make more sense, and I am very surprised how wrong he was.
  6. You are correct! Bad day for me. Too much Turkey (and other things) last week! Year 8 indeed. Time to move on...
  7. I screwed up my own edit! Meant to say "highly likely he is an omnivore." Thanks for noticing!
  8. Only seven. One more than Starocci.
  9. Where does this come from? A poster posted a sample 6000 calorie diet that was vegan. It wasn't directly attributed to Kueter. It seems like a strange choice to post as a potential diet. I would imagine approximately 100% of NFL linemen are omnivores. Also, it is highly unlikely the Iowa heavyweight is an omnivore because he isn't posting about being vegan a minimum of once a week on social media.
  10. Where is the meme?
  11. No improvement? Just last the last two years teams: Drake, Siebricht, Brands, Glazier, Hill. All showed considerable improvement. Who does improve under your ridiculously high standard? PSU? That's it? I mean, I'm an NC State fan 1st, and usually I like how they develop their guys but I have some reservations on the recent developments in Camacho, Orine, and others. Mizzou seems to have dropped off a bit in "development." Who else is there?
  12. Sealy seemed to be THE recruit after his U17 title. Expectations fell off tremendously after that. I believe he took a number off losses including to guys who will be joining him in the PSU room.
  13. I thought he had a GREAT gas tank starting with what he did to Ukraine in his U20 title run semi. He wasn't bad at U20 this year either. I agree that he didn't look good in his first NCAA match this year.
  14. Except he wasn't talking about those guys.
  15. And I was always amazed, because John allegedly did not cut a lot himself.
  16. All lineup and training related decisions fall on the coaching staff to some degree. "The adults in the room."
  17. Do you have a link?
  18. This would be a lot easier to do without it being vegan. Not making a value judgement.
  19. My ancestors did! No problem!
  20. And then won a coin flip after eating all that. Fantastic athlete. Most gifted coin flip winner I have ever seen.
  21. Dresser appears to be poking at Iowa for all the transfers: “I mean, in the seven years that I've been at Iowa State now, that's the best Iowa team that we face, by far. You know, so credit to Coach Brands and the donor base. I mean, that's the world we live in. So let's just say it, right, congratulations to all of the people involved in the program because they have put together a heck of a team right there. I mean, you look at some of the guys on that team that are kind of newcomers, those dudes can wrestle” Iowa certainly had a ton of transfers in the lineup: Parco,Teemer, and Buchanan from this year; Caliendo from last years squad. It isn't like Iowa State doesn't play the game too: Echemendia, Bockman (his 3rd school), Riggins, and Carroll are all transfers for ISU that wrestled this year. Then you have Chittum and the Cuban connection... all of whom enrolled in ISU after "non-traditional recruiting." Sound like sour grapes + hypocrisy from Dresser because he can't work the transfer portal as well as the Brands brothers. (or is ir sour oranges?)
  22. Possible. How did he not know this going in? Pop's brother was one of his high school coaches!
