  1. I don't know... I came up in a time where weight cutting was extremely bad, unhealthy, and rampant. I was one of the few cutting a lot of weight and even to this day as a man closer to 60 than 50 my weight isn't much more than my walk around weight was then. Good genetics, better food, and a lot of rum. These guys on the right? Hopefully they have had their expectations tempered and don't cause themselves too much bodily harm on the way. Student comes before athlete. For ~99% of these guys mind, body, and soul health leads to success more so than pain and suffering does.
  2. No, it was changed for all winter sports to be a one time thing just this last year. @flyingcementdo you have the info on that? We talked about it more in-depth on the TP thread.
  3. Meanwhile he could have gone to Tarleton and saved a boatload of money on his car insurance... https://www.collegesimply.com/colleges/compare/rutgers-university-new-brunswick-vs-university-of-wisconsin-madison-vs-rider-university-vs-tarleton-state-university
  4. Neither are Top 100 institutions. His tuition is fixing to skyrocket, though. https://www.collegesimply.com/colleges/compare/rutgers-university-new-brunswick-vs-university-of-wisconsin-madison
  5. So because he had been in the portal before he is technically still in? I am having trouble understanding how this is a go. Grad transfers are beholden to the same window now, are they not?
  6. If I never had to see another Kagami match, ever - I would be perfectly happy. She is a boulder, not a wrestler. She just doesn't wrestle. It isn't just frustrating, it is boring.
  7. Snyder took ZERO committed shots. Retherford took ZERO against his Iranian foe, either.
  8. Sorry I can't hear you past all these medals.
  9. USA wins handily at 86, 97, and 125 with the other three being tight. How are they the best?
  10. To be fair, DT expected the match to take place on an actual wrestling mat and not a slip'n'slide doused in original Dawn® ULTRA.
  11. Agreed. I'm over the Zain/Yianni/N. Lee era. Hopefully, Alirez can do what they couldn't and actually improve as a freestyle wrestler. He also needs to be able to win WTT/OTT - Something he has yet to be able to do. Also, Mendez is younger, just outplaced him at OTT, then beat him 4-1 while looking considerably smaller at BTS. I don't think Alirez is going to be our guy
  12. I could smell the cigarettes on Musukaev on his walkout from across the Atlantic.
  13. Kiyooka is feeling it. All smiles on that walkout.
  14. He is pretty good.
  15. Snyder wrestled ~6 matches that year and had a loss. Don't be a dolt.
  16. Amouzad won Worlds a couple years ago as a 19 year old.
  17. Zain has attempted zero actual offense. These feints from twelve feet out are bullshit. He should have gone 74 KG.
  18. USAW rules enforce a point there, UWW does not, if determined accidental.
  19. You must be new here. Welcome.
  20. So as a punishment to ya'll... I will be streaking WITH my clothes on. Still drinking many gallons of intoxicating excrement. Skipping the steak. Too sad.
  21. Do we start a 'If we sent Gwiazdowski this ne'er would'a happened thread somewhere?
  22. Recent results: Yazdani > Kurugliev > Amine > Nurmagomedov > Razamanov > Brooks. In no universe has DT ever been broken at Worlds/Olympics. A 79 KG guy broke Brooks today and it was unfortunate. I think he comes back next year, though, and destroys EVERYBODY. Edit: I think a lot of it is/was that this was his first time there. He will be fine.
  23. The same Osman that Amine just beat in the match of the week, right?
