He could likely use one as a redshirt and one as a medical - if there were any lingering issues in either 2019 or 2020 right? That means that he could have 'up to' two (2) years left right? Recruiting over him might not sit well with Uncle Tony. That guy gives me 'free money' vibes whenever I watch him. Meaning he seems like a guy who is willing to pay his nephew's way and then some. Not booster money, but the kind where if he strikes up a convo with one of the other kids and he likes the convo he'll just slip off one of his $40k rolex watches, hand it to him, and say 'Fuhgeddaboudit' while walking away with an awkward eyelid twitch while he makes direct eye contact with the samen 'said' kid.

Can you predict your favorite team's lineup for next season?

To me he gives me Quinn Kinner/Rocky Jordan vibes. Good enough to contend for mid-AA if they go the right weight (141/174, respectively). I believe Kinner should have been 141 this year, to be frank. He loses his length advantage at 149 and gives up a strength to many more than he would have at 141. If he can maintain 133 and get to a MAC/SoCon or to one of the 'lesser' elite P12/B12/EIWA programs (I am talking like Cal Baptist or Northern Colorado or Lock Haven type schools and not calling Stanford or Northern Iowa or Lehigh low rate) he could glide through most of the season rather unchallenged and be less banged up than some of the gents get with the brutal gauntlets that the B1G or other high profile programs tend to grind through. -

Questions: - Flynn and Ulrey? Do they transfer out? Lewis? Does he stay 174 or go up/down due to it being an Olympic year (which he could Oly-shirt too, fwiw)? -
You are comparing apples and ceiling fans there. Spencer Lee was recovering from double ACL surgery. Steveson has beaten Parris every single time in easier fashion. Parris could beat every other human on the planet - he just wasn't going to beat Steveson. You really need to understand my tendencies as a poster, as a Michigan alumni - former wrestler, and flat-out Parris fanboy-isms to appreciate the level that I put Steveson at. Also, I don't know that this was the best version of Parris. Hopefully we see him at the US Open to know for sure. I still think he was pretty hesitant in a lot of matches - which injury will do. 2020-2021 season Parris had bonus in every match he wrestled - sans Steveson. That includes Cass and Kerk.

Some gents are thinking he doesn't even want to go back next season... maybe there is smoke there? What control would Cael have then?
-
They also have a guy coming in from Detroit Catholic Central (Same HS as the Gilchers, Amines, Rojas, etc) from Michigan in Drew Heethus. He flies under the radar but has basically only lost to Braeden Davis (Dundee/Penn State - same HS as Swiderski, Buell) and Drew Horwath (Michigan/Davison - same HS as Metcalf, Reader, Facundo, Barr). I believe he even beat Horwath. He went 132 for team purposes and should have no issue being a 125lber if McGowen is going to go 133. I have high hopes that it will be a nice 1-2 punch.

What does reverence have to do with anything as far as match prediction goes? Gable Steveson would have won a Folkstyle wrestling match. Period. Gable would have easily won this year, too. He would be a 3x Hodge winner had he wrestled. Mason Stevesonson would have gotten destroyed.
-
I think this might end up being a Gable Steveson VS Cael Sanderson final. Steveson probably wins it.

So we should shouldn't penalize someone for trying to fight a guy much worse than him? I think those instances are reasons we need to include sportsmanship. Baylor Fernandez even if he were to go 80-0 next season with 80 pins should absolutely not be considered. If Starocci can't keep his composure and wants to fight Washington, he can take it to the cage. It's embarassing.
-
I hope so.
-
Starocci could just try not being a cocky little shit that half his own room doesn't even like for starters, right?
-
I mean... all champions were finalists. This may be the new standard.
-
Yes. I believe Negron has a year or two left as well.
-
Arizona State needs a 165lber, I hear.
-
I think Starocci being a Penn State gent eliminated him doubly.

I would like to see Dom Lajoie land at one of the Michigan schools. At the very least he provides a level of leadership that can't be matched by anyone that any of them will have in the room next season. Also he was clearly hurt this year.

YES! Just came here to post that @Mike Parrish.

I believe it goes off of Olympic standards for UWW. Typically a grandparent must have citizenship or something like that.

I think Parco is a favorite, however I do think Lamer made some leaps last offseason that weren't quite evident due to the double weight jump. Weight classes exist for a reason and if he drops to 149 I expect him to reinforce that concept. -

You bring up some good sfuff, actually. Cal Poly made some moves with their roster and Dom Demas coming in to set them to succeed specifically in a dual format. It worked and they won the PAC12 Dual Meet Championship. This said, they wrestled up two weight classes in most scenarios. They have a some good Frosh coming off shirt down in the 125-141 range. Maybe we see Lorenzo at 125 or 133 or maybe we don't. If we don't, then that means they are sitting pretty there because I wouod expect Lorenzo to contend for low AA/R12 honors next season. They also have Saenz at 141 who does have a year left, however it is his 'bonus' year so who knows. He also has wrestled everywhere from 133-149 in his career, so does he take the NC State approach to his extra year to eat and be happy going 149 or does he drop to 133 and try to contend for a PAC12 title? The meat and potatoes of the group has all been up at least one weight, if not two. Legend Lamer - 149 to 165 amd always seemed outmatched via muscle and size. If he were to drop back to 149, he could contend for a title. Luka Wick - Reminds me of Evan-lite. Does he stay 157 or go 165 in an attempt to settle in to a permanent senior level weight? 157lbers seemed to muscle him around a bit much last year, so 165lbers would brutalize him. Jarad Priest - A 174lber through and not a large one. He did go 184 and was well undersized when doing so. Can he drop to 165? He would be a favorite at 165 in the PAC12 if so - IF Griffith bolts for the B1G somewhere. Adam Kemp - Injury riddled and a free year left. I say he goes wherever he is comfortable ot hangs them up. Bernie Truax IV - If he stays, let him go whatever weight he wants. If Brooks goes 197 he should go 184 regardless of where he attends. Trevor Tinker - He is a solid 250lb HWT. It would be nice to lean out and add muscle so he can contend with thr athletes at 285 as well. To me this is their peak performance lineup: 125 - Lorenzo 133 - Saenz 141 - Committee Until Settled 149 - Lamer 157 - Wick 165 - Kemp 174 - Priest 184 - Truax 197 - Committee Until Settled 285 - Tinker For duals they have some supremely talented true frosh coming in around 170 so perhaps bump Truax anf Priest for the PAC12 Duals. That lineup likely wins PAC12 duals again and scores more individually than this last season at PAC12 Individuals and NCAAs. -

Tanner Hall was 42 years old and left one year on the table. What are you insinuating?
