  1. Even with Teemer in, Lewan could have won it. He did beat Teemer at NCAAs last year. Is it preposterous that he could do it again?
  2. K.Moore needs to go down because he is the instant favorite to make the team if he does. Worlds medalists in non-Oly weights earn a bye to the semi-finals. Can't be a Worlds medalist unless you compete at Worlds. I mean no disrespect to Cardenes, but if he can beat the 2022 Worlds Bronze medalist at 92 KG then we have a dozen or so others, maybe dozens, that can from 86 KG to 97 KG . I hope I am correct in saying this: 92 KG is going yo be a US Men's Freestyle wet dream. Everyone who not named Zahid Valencia or J'Den Cox that is not a realistic 'contender' at 86 KG or 97 KG is going to do what they need to do to get a shot at that bye for 2024 Oly-trials. In Valencia's and Cox's minds they are the favorites not only over the WTT field, but over the incumbents as well. Anybody who doesn't also truly believe that should head to 92 KG and I think it is going to make it the juiciest non-Oly trials we have ever seen. The kind that makes you wish that from the QF on were Best of Three series. Probably even the R16 matches too.
  3. Novi High School, born in 1967. Display picture explains itself, yeah?
  4. He said something about it in an interview for the 2022 WTT, I just forget what it was.
  5. I expect him to. They met at the 2021 WTT in the QF. Moore took 2nd there and Hidlay took 3rd.
  6. No chance we see them bump up to preserve redshirts? Parco is going to get beat up at 157, but it is hard to argue that he doesn't stand a better chance to win there. Vazquez to 149 (who did compete there his redshirt season). I doubt McGee would even go 141, but Chlebov could. If on the off chance McGee would go up, loser of Courtney-Figs wrestles Chlebov for 133. Saves redshirts.
  7. I don't see it with Cardenes. He has been steadily improving his neutral game, but is still loads behind the top tiers at folk when it comes to the mat game. It is what makes me think a Hidlay or a Brooks might very well go 92 KG and take the spot at WTT. It may seem unfair, but the elite freestylers that consistently push for medals on the senior level have also consistently contended for a title while simultaneously competing in college.

If OSU gets their offense going they are going to beat Kansas by 20+ with relative ease. I like Mizzou to not only beat the spread but to win outright. Kentucky is in a rut and it is the SEC. Alabama is out for blood and LSU is fixing to reap those rewards. I expect Alabama to win out. Georgia is just better than Tennessee. Pittsburgh over Syracuse. Pitt is made for a grind if a season and Suracuse leaves each week more banged up and playing a little worse.
  9. If it truly is in the Wiscy cosches hands, I hope they grant release. Shady otherwise.
  10. There are like... 6 billion people who can't.
  11. I don't think we see O'Connor this early. Probably a couple months out until he is 100%.
  12. UofM: 125 - Medley 133 - Ragusin 141 - Mattin Notes: I think Kim and Nolan will get some reps in early, but once Mattin is 100% he will be the guy. 149 - Lamer 157 - Lewan 165 - Amine 174 - Walker Notes: I think Walker, Maylor, and Bullock will all get reps in throughout the season with Walker wrestling at B1Gs. 184 - Finesilver 197 - Striggow Notes: I was hoping to see Bullock give it a go here, but it seems he is on the wrong side of 184 right now to do that. That tells me he is vying for 174, which is obviously his better weight. Striggow is looking at a 10-12th place finish at B1Gs though. Expect some frosh spot starts. 285 - Parris
  13. the 'thank you for your time spent here' bit when you try to go there gots me all choked up.
  14. @BobDole Any chance you can oblige a pin?
  15. There is simply more money in wrestling than there used to be. More opportunities to succeed fiscally and still.be able to not get your brains bashed in.
  16. Often, yes. Old habits. Difficult to break. Etc.
  17. 1.5 and I take Carr and the over, no real hesitation. You say 2.5 and it makes me check out wrestlestat then make me worried on the over or under. So 2.5.
  18. I don't think the version from the last two WC would beat him. I think that version of Cox was too focused on 97 KG and the failure to earn that spot. I think it's been eating him up inside to where he can't put the needed 110% focus towards that. I think the Cox that went unscored on in 2019 is still in there and I think if he can tap in to that level again, that then he becomes our best option. I don't think DT beats Snyder in a match if it ever happens. Ever. Bad matchup there. I do think a DT match against Sadulaev and Ghasempour are good, easy sells.
  19. You check on your caretakers you done locked up down in your basement in the last few years? I do hope you have been taking proper care of them. They are people too!
