  1. This perplexed me. Did Gray's husband possibly might have maybe taken Gray's last night? Is that why it is ambiguous?
  2. Was it a John Wick style assassin or Jason Bourne? Asking for a friend. Also, what was he doing on the mat?
  3. As of right now they do qualify for Russia - as it was announced on their stream last night after Usmanov won. The word Russia was used.
  4. Oto has been hurt on and off for years. It isn't surprising that he was too hurt to make weight for the backside.
  5. With Arujau in the season, do we see a shortened season for him where he is 50/50 Freestyle and Folkstyle, or does he trust that Fix (who would also be doing a shortened 50/50 season if he did it), Gilman, or Richards qualifies the weight for us? I imagine for 65 KG we at least see a wrestleoff between Johnny D and Lee. Retherford might want a bit longer to make 65 KG - if he even goes that route. Guy is jacked at 70 KG. I don't particularly want to see him go down. That isn't the 149lber or 70 KG that we love.
  6. Keep in mind that of the matches that started today only 50 KG, 57 KG, and 76 KG are Olympic weights. 65 KG is not an Olympic weight, so Kilty is wrestling for a bye to the semi-finals of a different weight. Also, Winchester (55 KG) and Page (59 KG) are also non-Olympic qualifiers. If Page wins her Bronze she also earns a bye to the semifinals and Winchester has already earned it by making the finals. Medalists in non-Olympic weights can choose which weight they want to go for OTT. Not sure if it has to be an adjacent weight or not - although that is most likely the case in every scenario.
  7. Kilty (65 KG) has Hristova of Bulgaria in her 1/4er. Neither have made the 2nd period thus far (Kilty two techfells and Hristova one, respectively so far).
  8. Hildebrandt (50 KG) has an Azera in her bottom 1/4er as well. Not sure who she sees out of the Russian (assuming Russo and not Belarusian) or Mongolian in the semifinals if she makes the semifinals.
  9. Maroulis (57 KG) has her toughest match in the semifinals, providing she gets by the Azera.
  10. 2 and 3 seed on bottom in 76 KG are down. I think if Gray (76 KG) wins her next one against Japan she should slide rather easily into Gold/Silver match.
  11. Well one of those didn't even happen as Sadulaev didn't even weigh in. Curious where the Russo's qualify at now. Do they swap over to Asia rather than Euros?
  12. Gray up next on Mat C.
  13. Here we go one more time, everybody's feeling fine, here we go now (yes, yes, yes here we go)
  14. Dreams are made of...
  15. PS - I Love You
  16. None of them have brought home a senior medal... they are in criteria three... for them to be able to challenge Richards and/or Lee would have to vacate - which they won't.
  17. Where are you getting this?
  18. I think DT calls it after the Olympics, personally. He has nothing to prove that he hasn't already proved and should be looking in to his next phase. I hope he lands a HC gig somewhere.
  19. So we need to qualify the Olympics still at 57 KG and 65 KG. At 57 KG, Gillman, Fix, and Arujau could challenge for the right to face Richards to go to the Olympic qualifier. At 65 KG, Diakomihalis, Retherford, Fix, and Arujau could challenge for the right to face Lee to go to the Olympic qualifier. Am I missing anyone?
  20. So he either loses 10-7 or 8-7 either way.
  21. The replay was pretty clear. As he rolled over his back (2 points additional for Sidakov), Dake did not force him to break 90. Had he gotten him to break 90 while doing it, I think it would have been 2 points the other way instead.
  22. It's like a foot difference!
  23. Micic is taller than Abakarov while Abakarov is standing on the medal stand and Micic is not. HAHAHAHA
  24. The entire planet was well prepared for them. The. Whole. Planet.
