  1. The same Osman that Amine just beat in the match of the week, right?
  2. Your Uncle would have beaten the Bulgarian, too.
  3. He looked like shit the 2nd period against the Bulgarian.
  4. He would have, though. Easily. Styles make matches and that 3-0 lead Brooks had would have been a Pinfall or a Techfall.
  5. Kurugliev is probably one of the strongest 86 KG we have had this side of the year 2000 and he has the grip strength to follow and the defense to keep matches close.
  6. You were correct.
  7. You are more than welcome to go chat with them. They found a new home prior to our lord and savior Mr. Brain @Husker_Du got this rolling and they didn't want to move again. https://indianamat.com/index.php?/forums/topic/62268-iran-wrestling-news/
  8. A better draw would have been to face the 4 or 5 seed out the gate. Let Dauletbekov and Ishiguro face eachother before he gets to them.
  9. That quarter was bonkers. The only way that goes better for him is if he gets drawn in to face Lopez round one, so he gets a shot at wrestling for Bronze (which he would have still lost to the Iranian in the repechage before the Bronze match anyways).
  10. Honestly it is bonkers that Vinesh doesn't get a Silver, but I get it. They need a Gold Medal match and these rules were well in place for many months.
  11. Zou is a large 57 KG guy who can also handfight. I actually expect Lee to attempt to make quick work of him this time. He already knows if he lets him stay in the match, it is going to be a dogfight and you don't want that in a Round 1 matchup. Ishiguro is also a tough next match. He had kind of a brain fart at Worlds last year, but aside for that he has only lost to the elite as well. He also holds the last victory in the series with both Aaron Brooks and Dauletbekov. He pulled off a Techfellery via 11-0 on Valencia at 2023 Zegrab.
  12. Without Taylor, Dauletbekov was the 2nd most proven wrestler in this bracket. I fully expect him to win Bronze if (when) Brooks beats him. I think we see the Top 4 guys get all four medals at this weight.
  13. No, Hildebrandt will now wrestle Cuba's Guzman for gold. The rules are in place to the point where they plan for missed weight, if needed.
  14. I also agree with them that she earned Silver at the very least. It is a shame she missed weight. She still missed weight, though.
  15. A lot of folks losing their shit over Vinesh missing weight on Twatter. While I am annoyed Hildebrandt doesn't just get awarded the gold, I understand that the rules are in place and have been in place for many months. If you break the rules, you must suffer whatever consequences those rules state.
  16. Serbian lost his next match - Jacobson is out. MGR went 0W - 5L. Coon did the best, I would say, right? A 3-1 loss to a Bronze medal winner and defending world champion who defeated every other wrestler he faced by a wider margin?
  17. So Hildebrandt has lost to the lady from India in the past via 8-2 Decision.
  18. No, I didn't delete anything on there. He said something along the lines of "TELL THE TRUTH #57KG"or something quite similar.
  19. Track was wrong, you were right.
  20. You understand that him holding the spot for Serbia held out another Russian, correct? We have our own Cold War front going on in the trenches here.
  21. A match with Zhadrayev (who has never beaten an opponent from the USA) is a much better first round match for Bey.
  22. Brackets are showing Zhadrayev for Bey on Track.
  23. Oborududu checking that doo-doo? On another more relevant subject, Oborududu is the only one who was ever able to match TMS power for power, once TMS hit her stride and started winning titles.
  24. To be fair, Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan is also a former Worlds Champion. She also took 3rd at 2020(1) Olympics losing to the Nigerian that she has next round.
