  1. Ref should have allowed that to continue in the 149 match there. Van Ness was working hard.
  2. Looking ahead to tomorrow. Swiderski vs Bartlett? Toss up? Paniro vs Van Ness I think I like Van Ness style to pressure Johnson into a positional mistake Carr vs Facundo - Carr by 4 Brooks by Major over Coleman Bastida and Dean Toss up
  3. Truax had a cradle locked and Trumble got out of it pretty easy, then got a TD and turned Truax to his back for the pin. Trumble is Trouble with a Cap T in March.
  4. CMU 197 will have a sore shoulder tomorrow.
  5. I think we know what Penn State came out to do tonite. PIN. PIN. PIN. PIN.
  6. Cenzo actually said he tried to bait Mehki into trying that cradle but underestimated Mehki's strength.
  7. Honestly, even with the gas tank issues I think that version of Spencer Lee beats this version of Patrick Glory. No doubt they both look different in March.
  8. Oregon State 149 freshman wrestled Van Ness well but still Van Ness looks so tough. That ankle pick was slick and only converted on second attempt after OSU got his leg free. Good thing Van Ness was climbing in the whole time. Van Ness looks nails from top position.
  9. RBY had a wrap around his left thumb. Did he have that before? Oregon State's 141 looked pretty solid, but Bartlett just a little better.
  10. Glory won, but he did not look great imho. I can't see this version of Glory beating Spencer Lee. Alvarez lost to Coles which is the upset that Princeton needed to maybe win the dual.
  11. Will Glory be at 125 or 133 today?
  12. Penn State message board says Bo Bassett is in attendance today. Second match this year he has attended. That seems like a trend.
  13. Flo may not appear very professional, but they do get paid so they are professionals at something.
  14. I was thinking about this for the past few days and I think if Spencer is fully recovered then he should go on a limited pitch count, then wrestle college post season, then go 100 percent freestyle to prepare for 2024. But what if he is anything less than 100 percent? If possible, would Iowa redshirt him to protect his potential 4th title? How would that impact the rest of their line up would be of concern.
  15. Is Spencer eligible for one of the numerous ways a redshirt can be given out? Would Iowa do that this year if he is not 100 percent? Lot of injuries in his resume.
  16. That is what these are for.
  17. Of the guys mentioned here all but two of them wrestle in the Big10, so they compete against the more difficult schedule. Of the remaining guys O'Toole wrestles better comp in the regular season than Yianni (sorry Ivys). To try and level the playing field I looked at just NCAAs. Yianni has wrestled 15 NCAA matches. He scored 2 majors in his first two tournament matches against an unseeded wrestler from Pitt and then against the 14 seed. After that 13 straight DEC wins. His defense is high class, but he is not nearly as offense minded as those other guys on your list and he gives up the leg too easily for me to rate him on the same level in neutral as some of those other guys.
  18. Penn State recruit Braeden Davis is probably way down the list of their recent commitments, but he won the Findlay Open this past weekend. He beat a top rated h.s. kid in the final, but more impressively he beat a 2x D2 National Champion in the semi final. https://www.trackwrestling.com/opentournaments/MainFrame.jsp?newSession=false&TIM=1669072831064&pageName=%2Fopentournaments%2FBracketViewer.jsp&twSessionId=wdhpkonmeh
