  1. scourge, I'd hand out a like but you made me laugh out loud.
  2. Yianni ran past his coaches after the match and yelled "I almost blew that", the response being "Yeah you did". You can hear it on the you tube video.
  3. He does not have to make excuses (he wouldn't publicly make them anyway) but he doesn't need to make them especially when all around him will be making them on his behalf.
  4. This may be true, or maybe not. Remember that Nagao rides everyone tough and McGee just also rode Fix and didn't he win by that riding time point? The other part is every time they count PSU out the opposite tends to happen. You never know, though. Why they wrestle the matches. I never thought Quentin Wright would chop down that Oak tree named Dustin Kilgore who had not been taken down that year. Wright took him down 3 times.
  5. That low shot got his goose cooked multiple times this year. I bet they fix that. Both him and Facundo. They will drill this into them. Thousands of reps.
  6. Ramos and his coaches sound like they were actually involved in coaching. Awesome. Totally rooting for him tonite. Very likeable.
  7. Another guy who certain fans said wouldn't amount to much, even if he was going to drop to 141. Heck, throw in Levi Haines. His biggest supporter here was dubbed "Mrs. Haines".
  8. People say that about everyone who looks like the next PSU stud. Until they actually prove it.
  9. He is being quoted on the net as saying he did not know of any injury and the prior comment posted above.
  10. When he really starts to stop shots with a basic sprawl he will be a tough out. Next year at 149 still has Gomez and Sasso, plus Ridge Lovett, so he will have to continue to improve which is a safe bet in the PSU room.
  11. Yes. He looked like he was gasping for air.
  12. Someone said Ironsides had a few words on this subject. Used the "excuses are for wusses" comment. Lots of guys are truly injured. Look at Mehki.
  13. My father did 10 years in the Air Force. Those men and all who serve in all branches today deserve respect.
  14. Wyatt Hendrickson proved me wrong. I thought he'd get exposed by Cassioppi but just the opposite. Maybe Kerkvliet really just wrestled a smart match against him cause at one point I thought Wyatt was going to win that match too.
  15. That would be true also.
  16. Penn State won because they are the best team of wrestlers. This was just the timing of things.
  17. Penn State has clinched. Before Saturday morning.
  18. He's done. Medically forfeiting out of the Championships. Penn State won the team title because of Lee MFF his way out of NCAA Tournament.
  19. You can be in the Air Force at that size, but you may not be able to fly. They have lots of other things you can do.
  20. Opposing coaches might use that going forward. I could see some coaches telling recruits that if they lose they just quit. Long way from their staff proclaiming of others "They don't like tough wrestling".
  21. The most of the Hodge contenders for sure.
  22. Well the Era just ended. Spencer forfeits out to 6th place. Iowa board saying he was injured.
  23. I think Parris or Carr if they win tonite. Both will be unbeaten, and Parris will have beaten Kerkvliet 3x while Carr will have beaten KOT 3x. They'd all have a case, though.
  24. Burroughs is at UPENN and he gets to live where he grew up. Penn also got two recent large financial commitments to their program and are headed in the right direction. Don't see him heading to Iowa. Wouldn't the next guy at Iowa be an Iowa guy anyway? Same for Oklahoma State?
  25. I normally agree with you but this is not totally fair. 15 million or more learned how to carry and fire an M1 Garand and all the rifles that came after that. How many can fly for the Air Force and keep the much longer commitment requirements? No need to knock on any branch that serves.
