    Marty Morgan was a D2 national champion as a freshman and a 3x AA and national champion at Minnesota. Ryan Lewis was a D2 AA as a freshman and a 2x D1 runner up at Minnesota.

    He was a solid recruit for a program like Minnesota. Most programs can’t pull 4 or 5 top 15 recruits each year. I’m sure that Cael probably wouldn’t put much effort into recruiting that level of kid at the time when he already had Bartlett and Howard in the bag. It becomes much easier to evaluate the talent once a redshirt freshman becomes an AA. I’d also add that he beat Mendez last year more convincingly at NCAA’s than he did at Big 10’s. Guess he wasn’t able to figure him out after getting a feel.

    There are certainly 4 or 5 teams that have the ability to outperform PSU at these 4 weights. However, Penn State is favored to do the best against the field. I would consider teams like Minnesota, West Virginia and SDSU to be above average at all 4 weights.

    It’s hard to know when each graduated from college, they expired their eligibility in 2023.

    Lee was a year ahead of RBY in high school. Lee was the same class as Daton Fix. RBY was same class as Steveson and Carr.
