    Or a ref can just call stalling when wrestlers ain't doing nuthin'. The "defensive" strategy has been allowed for far too long. Bartlett, Amine, the Lewan, etc. wrestle an unwatchable style and it has been allowed by the referees. That should be an emphasis this offseason.

    Nothing like 0 takedowns and going to rideouts in 2 of the first 3 matches. Refs need to just get the stall calls going and not let guys stand around and do nothing. Until the strategy is penalized, it's not going to change. I'm glad I didn't invite anyone over to watch the finals.. I'd be embarrassed for wasting their time so far. Edit: Thank god we have Hardy now. This match can't be boring.. can it?

    Great wrestling. Both guys genuinely tried to attack. I figured Keck was going to that post over and over to try for the misdirect later in the match.. he tried and got reattacked.

    I'd imagine if Wisconsin offered him enough to make it worth his while, he would genuinely consider taking the job, but I think he's unlikely to take on the administrative tasks, recruiting demands, media obligations etc. unless he was going to be making a significant amount more than he currently does with AWA. I do think the competitor in him wants to compete against Cael on the college landscape from a coaching perspective. I will say this here and now. I am officially a Badger if Askren ever takes the job.

    Two things can be true at the same time. Scoring bonus, and have a complete roster of 10 hammers has never been easier than it is now through the portal and NIL, but to do what Penn State did is unlikely to be repeated anytime soon. To not only have the horses, but to also perform as well as they did is pretty remarkable.

    Okay, 8 top 3 finishers and 5th, and a semi-finalist that MFF out.. Damn. That is a hell of a performance and bounce back from the four guys that lost last night. I thought we might see some sad boy hour losses on the backside, but we did not. Nothing but credit to be given there.

    Hardy went on a two year church mission, then had a free year in 2021, and redshirted in 2022.. He graduated in 2018 and his RSFR year was 2022-2023..
