  1. If it wasn’t BB, he would have refuted the post publicly immediately.
  2. 133 - I think Davino is better than Davis but not better than Blaze. I suspect Blaze wrestles 5 matches and gets his shirt pulled after Christmas as is #1. If not, then Davino > Davis. 141 - Bailey had both hands wrapped up like he was a boxer. Hopefully whatever was going on is cured and he gets his pop back up a weight class. I think Vombaur struggles with the weight and I put Bailey at 3. 149 - Stiles is on an upward trajectory while Van Ness and Lachlan I think have too many miles on them for folkstyle. I think Stiles gets tougher going against 2x NCAA champ on a daily basis and is B1G champ! 157 - I think Millard is the real deal and would put him at 3rd behind Kasak and Taylor. After seeing Cannon at U23, he looked like a full-size 165 already. I think Paddy is forced to drop back to 157 and places where Cannon is projected. 165 - I'd put Cannon at 3rd 174 - Mantanona is a hammer on top, I think he takes 3rd 184 - As others have mentioned, Rocco should be higher. I think he is #1. Fishback might have some upside returning to Ohio, I put him at 3rd. 197 - Geog likely starts and should be behind McDanal 285 - I'm going to take some heat on this one but something feels off with Feldman, maybe 6th? Mirasola will quietly improve throughout the season and finish 3rd at B1G.
  3. I don’t know about under the radar but Charlie Millard from Minnesota 157 had wins over Siebrecht, Chittum and a close loss to Chumbley. I am also curious about Jackson Arrington at NC State. He had a good season but limited competition.
  4. I just wish the headline would have read "Nittany Lion wrestler... instead of former Ohio State" He hasn't improved one bit and did tOSU dirty by leaving, take the beating under the NLWC banner. All seriousness, this is bad all around and as a Christian, I was never a fan of his constant Jesus rhetoric when reporters would just ask about basic wrestling. Looking back now, it almost seems like he was covering for himself in his comments. Mother's day will never be the same for his wife and I just wish the best for everyone involved. Gotta really hurt and be hard to sleep. All that being said, he is an Olympic champion and the amount of work and dedication to do that is something I know not! I wouldn't be surprised if he takes his moral beating, recovers and turns this into a positive. If Aaron Brooks is clean, I could see him having some issues with Kyle being at NLWC.
  5. truth He also has stated multiple times, he is family oriented and the college coaching demands do not match his preferred lifestyle. I think the same could have been said to an extent about DT, so if the check is big enough, his lifestyle preferences might adjust.
  6. Portal closes May 2 I believe - getting down to the wire. Surprised that he didn't hit the portal given Ono, but maybe this is the greatest testament to Cael. Davis is an AA, coach brings in a world champ, Davis get busted for drinking and could probably use a fresh start. Nope, coach has your back behind the scenes and Davis decides that even with money and the high probability of starting, he chooses to stay. If that is how it plays out - I think this really becomes a feel good life changing story for Davis and Cael.
  7. I saw Gibson in action this past season at an open. Didn't see much of a jump over HS. Still trying to muscle and go upper body. Good against the 15+ ranked guys, but unlikely against top 10 / AA caliber.
  8. You think Paddy can beat Kharchla?
  9. 125: Kilkeary 133: Davino 141: Mendez 149: Stiles 157: Gallagher 165: Cannon 174: Kharchla 184: Fishback 197: Geog 285: Feldman
  10. Ivies don’t have scholarships
  11. Thanks for posting this. Am I thinking of this right - total number 14,225/33 = 431, then divide by 10 weight classes so is this data for 43 years? Pretty impressive! Any chance to cut this down to like the last 15 years and recast?
  12. Do you know if the coaches poll will be released after the portal closes?
  13. He is what he is, but what I found really crazy was the lack of praise for his brother. He mentioned no one could touch him except for his brother and then he said he was the best Ferrari. The new Iowa facility is huge, but I don't think it is big enough for 2 Ferraris!
  14. Thank you for posting these files! So much work into them and fun to use - much appreciated!!!
  15. Trying to leverage the good work of anyone that has built out a nice simulation model for scoring nationals.
  16. Sorry, yes, my eye's missed that one, 100% stand corrected!
  17. Second fiddel's row! I only see likely champ at 184. Everyone else I would put in the semis and not at the top of the podium. Corrected - champs at 165 and and 184! Only way MM doesn' win is if Tonya Harding's crew comes out of retirement and I probably still pick him to win!
  18. Yes, he was injured before wrestle offs and then was injured against Paniro. Paddy has been working through some issues as well. Truth is pretty much everyone on any roster is dinged up one way or another. These guys are so touch just to step on the mat with what they go through.
  19. Coach Ryan has been gently leaking this expected outcome for about a month now. This is what's best for Ohio State. Anyone close to the program knows that Paddy, Sammy and Cannon have all had a lot to overcome and are warriors. We celebrate Sammy and move on to cheering for Paddy and Cannon going forward.
  20. Curious from PSU and tOSU insiders what all this means? How does Sealy do against Kasak? How does Cannon do against Paddy and Sasso? we should see Cannon and Sasso this weekend so that will be answered but how about Sealy?
  21. We will know a lot more after this weekend.
  22. tOSU might have a run on the bank. Kilkeary, Bouzakis and Welsh. Welsh is the one that would hurt the most but probably stays put. Kilkeary and Bouzakis likely out, but not really a loss in points given McCrone and Davino. Also wonder if Davino could drop to 125 and bump McCrone up. PSU double booked at 133 Nagao could be on the way out, I can't see Kasak, Facundo, Sealey, Duke and Cunningham all sticking around. Duke and Cunningham yes, I think Facundo and Sealey have to go, same with Gibson. 30 man roster limit is going to cause some movement which is good for wrestling. PSU has 38 on the roster, loses 9 to graduation and picks up 6 recruits which means 5 must be cut.
