Kasak and Shapiro are both also banged up. Out of the three of them Teemer is the only one who has actually made a finals appearance so far and is the only one who has actually wrestled recently.

That would be awesome. I believe that's what all us fans want however that would be a lot of tough brutal matches in a short amount of time for the wrestlers.

Gonna be a few years for OK state to contend for a title. I don't see Iowa contending next year either. Ohio State probably has the best chance to compete with Penn State next year. Especially if they can learn how to use the transfer portal. Iowa State might be sneaky good next year. Would be nice to have a competitive team race.

I think he has a lot of potential. That might have been his first folkstyle match ever. He looked very talented on his feet. He is only a freshman. I think he ends up being a stud after a couple years training with Gilman, Fix, and RBY.

Exactly this. Brands is gonna be the starter. He has the higher ceiling. Being the coaches son definitely factors in along with Kennedy having another year of eligibility.

Yea it's probably pretty embarrassing for him. Poor Kueter has had a tough time recently having to wrestle Gable kerk and Hendrickson. It's also really hard to put on 30 pounds of good weight. I don't think it could be done in a single year and would be surprised if he could put on that kind of size by the end of his career. Hopefully Kueter learns from these losses and keeps improving. Next year the monsters are all gone so hopefully Keuter sticks with it.

Ramos had nothing to gain by wrestling. He has the number 1 seed locked up for big tens.

Pull his shirt and give him two more shots at starocci and a chance to become a legend in the sport. Who knows, if the stars align perfectly for Iowa maybe they can compete with Penn State for 1st place. Ayala, Parco, Teemer, Caliendo, Ferrari and Buchanan could all make the finals. Lilledahl and Davis could both miss the podium, Kasak is banged up, and Kerk seems to be mia lately. Iowa should take their shot now. They don't get any closer to winning next year. They lose Parco, teemer and Buchanon.

Previous Hodge winners also get a vote. Penn State has a significant amount of votes that will all be going towards Starocci if he wins.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gable got it, however Keck is also a returning champ who I believe will be undefeated going into the NCAA finals with a higher bonus rate than kerk. A win over Keck is better than a win over Kerk.

The weight has a returning national champ and a returning finalist who beat Spencer Lee. I don't think the weight is weak. Might not be very deep but the top 2 are pretty legit.

I don't know man, Steiber also benefited from a questionable call in the Ramos final. Steiber is definitely the sketchiest 4x champ. 5 is absolutely greater than 4 though. Hard to stay that focused that long. You have stay healthy (stopped Spencer) stay out of trouble (AJ). Plus everyone has another year to scout you and try to find a way to beat you.

Mark Hall has a very good case. He had to deal with Zahid three years and got screwed out of his fourth year which he likely would have won. I still don't understand how the seniors that year got screwed out of their 4th year of eligibility and everyone else gained a year.

Yes Keck becomes the best 1 time champ ever. Just look at who he has had to wrestle. I think he should get the hodge if he wins. Noone else has ever stopped a 5 time national champion. I also think if Carter wins he should get the hodge.

Could he get a medical and preserve his 3 years of eligibility? Because that might increase his value
